I do like Dandelions, the heads of them line the roads around us, so making space for them in my tiny garden is definitely a no. I will however grow many wildflowers and plant them out into our village wildlife area and chuchyard to increase diversity, it is working.

This video was so poorly titled. Do you think anyone is going to search up "Wild bees part 3"???? Instead you should have titled it: "Building solitary bee hotel bricks" or something along those lines.

please don't put straw in the lembricks it's not good for the bees when he's grabbing .

It’s nice to see these species in their native range, they’re so invasive here in the US! Don’t let invasives go to seed, near wild areas.

I love this idea. I am in Torbay and was going to ask where yoy get the Loam from to make the bricks, but if you have a kit that would probably be better for a moment. Excellent 😁

Hi I just like to say a fantastic video on your pop up medal will be wildflowers absolutely fantastic I am starting my next year I'm going to do a small bit 1st to see how we gets on and then I love about a 1/2 an acre of feel to do and about a quarter of an acre to do so hopefully next year it will turn out alright thank you very Thank you for showing the video to us be safe😍😍❤❤👍

I saw a big moth in my trap. I do not know which species is it.

what i would find really helpful (anyone?) would be a (20 min+) video of ALL the various types of grasses. best of all would be a spilt screen, divided into four sub squares showing the following in each of the four quarters: 1: the (pre-flowering) foliage 2: plant with infloresence 3:close up of spikelets 4: the plant as it looks in winter and finally, full screen video footage of how the mature plant moves/sounds in a breeze (for grass gardeners).

Wow! What a great project! Thanks so much to everyone who made this possible. I have really enjoyed all 9 videos so far. I recorded the dawn chorus here in Midlothian, Scotland during lockdown on a little Zoom H2N audio recorder and it is absolutely lovely (I haven't recorded the dawn chorus before). There were all the usual garden birds and a few surprises too (sheep noises in the distance and a pair of ducks coming in to land in the burn) which made it even more delightful. There's even a few bees in there trying to convince me they are actually buzzing about my head! Having watched these videos I now realise I need to listen again for the Blackcap. It sounded quite familiar but I know the warblers can sound similar to a hobbyist. And as luck would have it I was about to look up the internet for some good Grass ID videos. So the one in this series is a great starting point. I really hope you can keep this project going so we can all enjoy the flora and fauna of Buckfastleigh over the year (at least 1 year!). A fascinating video thank you John and Robbie. At the moment I've got 16 Red Mason Bees which have nested in a Bee Hotel my husband & I bought. Amazing to see them ar work!
