Gonna be honest here, if Popcap was allowed to keep uodating the game I feel it would have been great (possibly better than GW2), I'll list some pros and cons below: Pros: -PvE: I actually think having the regions be a substantial part of the game was a fun idea, and gave those who don't want to do PvP something fun to do besides Ops. It's only seen as over-saturated because of how much of PvP was removed before the game's death (Gnome Bomb, Vanquish Confirmed, Battle Arena and Suburbination used to be separate playlists but were for unknown reasons scrapped) -Removal of Variants: I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but I think the removal of variants was actually a good thing, and would have been proven so had the game continued updates. The reason I think it's good is because the ideas of variants could now be remade into fully unique classes, like how Fire Chomper has (practically speaking) become Snap Dragon, or how, to some degree, Electric Slide is made from Physicist. -Art Style: I actually like this art style more as it made the characters more expressive in general (example they make faces when aiming), and is generally more goofy but still not horrible (idc what people say the zombies looking "ugly" in BFN makes sense, they're ZOMBIES after all). -Shop: Contrary to what you think in this video I actually think the way characters and cosmetics are earned is actually decent with the exception of Rainbow Stars as a paid currency. I say it's good because you can work to earn coins to get Wizard and the Swarm characters as well, which at least doesn't put them behind a paywall. (btw this also goes for Prize Maps / legendary upgrades). Cons: -The bugs/crashes -Marketing -Drawn-out level system (should have left it at Master) -Swarm class: I personally don't like that these guys are fully playable, I would have rathered they stay as exclusive to the Minion Madness event mode (which is the reason they even exist btw). I for one just don't like playing as something already established as a consumable, and the Yeti Imp / Dandelions are so annoying. -Upgrade System: This upgrade system is what was meant to replace variants, but over time the upgrades became more and more unbalanced. And despite Corn and Rose's legendary upgrades not doing much, I'd keep those kinds over SB and Scientist as it changes their gameplay too much (I'd rather Branium and Steam Blaster be for another new class or something). If I was making a new BFN-style game I'd go back to the GW2 upgrade system but refine it to be more class-specific than broad like this current one is. -BFN Syndrome (not really the game's fault for this) -The leaks which caused EA to rush Popcap into releasing it in the bad state it was in -Final balance -Grody goop (again this should have been an ability for a toxic plant) -Absence of Torchwood and Hover Goat -The physics: They're not as bad as people make them out to be but it definitely isn't as great as GW1, though I do like that drones don't have sway anymore. So while there is definitely more negatives than positives at this time (and now forever), BFN is still my favourite PvZ shooter besides GW1, and would have been even greater if the "fans" and EA had given it a chance. Also did you know that there was testing footage for BFN leaked that showed GW2-style gameplay, and was even referred to as GW3 in the files? Hopefully this game at least outlives CONcord... 💀

a few weeks back bfn got a discount to 3 bucks and i bought it, got bored since the tutorial is so f long ad I didn't like a lot of aspects of the game so i returned it

I played tf outta ops mode in all 3 games some of if not the coziest time I've spent gaming. I'd buy another one instantly. Heres to a true gw3 one day 🍺

Glad to see GW2 content from a user who hasn’t yet posted anything on the game! If anything that shows EA how much of an impact this game made on the community, even if it isn’t actively being shown through dedicated PvZ RUclipsrs. Anyways, I might as well compare my list to yours in your video, since I did something similar to this a few days ago, organizing a bunch of potential updates into a tier list. Starting off, I didn’t mention an anticheat, which is a fair point. My guess is that if they properly decide to get back in the game, they will try a bit harder to make a functioning anticheat, since every iteration of it has been bypassed in less than ten minutes (no, I’m not joking here). The new town hall modes I think is also something that they could do, especially since there are unobtainable achievements for console players that you can only get through Cats vs Dinos and Boss Hunts. For your possible updates, scrapped content I could see making a return if they hire a new team, as they would only need a little more development time to complete them. However, some of them may have been cut for a reason other than lack of time/money, so you can never say for certain. More PVE I think would be very unlikely, as knowing EA, they would look at the PVP stuff as that’s the main focus, without stopping to consider how much charm the story mode had in the game as well, and how amazing the Trials of Gnomus were. That, or I’m coping because I don’t want them to inadvertently upstage a story for a hypothetical GW3 that I’m writing. Lastly, the new classes is exactly what I talked about in my list, with it being very unlikely, and if anything, we’re best to get the BFN classes. Even then, I don’t think they’ll do it, because iirc the games use different engines for pretty much everything, so a simple copy paste wouldn’t work with them (that’s actually part of why they didn’t include variants, because the new engine required them to remake every single variant from the ground up). GW3 is my whole shtick I guess you could say, but yes, quite unlikely. Anyways, I’ll try and link this video in the forums to further make a point about a non-PvZ-dedicated content creator making something on the topic, showing how much people love the game. Great video as a whole!

Call me a doomer but I don't think there's going to be much of anything coming from this (at least in terms of new content). With that said this is my list of updates for the game that I'd like to see, if they actually go back to this game: -Make Community Challenges a thing again (for achievements' sake) -Add new portal modes/modifiers to Private Game (and public matches too) -Fix the anticheat -Add Wall-Nut Hills to private game -Fix load time for next gen consoles -Make the GW1 loyalty rewards and PvZ Heroes exclusive items obtainable in some other way -Make SB and Citron's beams actually useful (instead of having them do practically nothing unless you're right in front of your target) -Make Torchwood and Hovergoat's Crazy Targets leaderboards actually work -(Optional) Add the GW1 sponsor characters back (their data is in the files so obviously at one point they were planned) -(Optional 2) Make the Torchwood and Hovergoat costumes variants -(Optional 3) Make private servers/backyards hold more players (preferably up to 24 like in max lobbies) -(Optional 4) Add unused bosses / boss hunts -(Optional 5) Make the story mode Boss Hunts have a harder multiplayer version The five optional ones are most likely not gonna happen since (at least for the variants/abilities) they'd require adding/editing new code. Personally I think BFN should have been the updated one though.

I don’t know how people still don’t realise the reason Sony got from to make them in the first place is to advertise PlayStations, if they made every game available on PC or all platforms it would make zero sense to commission studios. This makes someone who has a PC or Xbox say I really want to play these games, I’ll get a PlayStation, then hey they were great let me browse the PlayStation digital store. It’s never gonna happen, buy a PlayStation or forget about the game.

As a bloodborne player, we don’t even want/need an entire remake/remaster, from what I gathered, most of us just want the frames to be uncapped as the game looks good enough, but 30 fps can be annoying

From software has come out saying they have no problem with sony remaking bloodborne. Sony has all the power.

PVE is good, but it’s fucking broken. I was playing Shoreline earlier and could hear lots of footsteps but no players to be seen, so I’m going room to room in east wing and then I run into a room with all of Sanitars gang and the goons just chilling together…
