In the heart of Amsterdam West lies a gem, hidden underground, that comes to life during weekend evenings: a streaming studio, equipped with top notch DJ gear, professional video equipment, light robots and bombastic speakers; it’s called The Bas[s}ment and for the past couple of years it has been hosting an excellent roster of national and international DJs, in different formats but always very Techno-oriented: a delight for any techno-head alike.
Along its evolution is the award of the official ADE yellow cube, making The Bas[s]ment a relevant pin in today’s #Mokum map of underground venues.

Since 2015, Iceland's Samwise has dedicated his sound to the minimal-tech scene. Up until the pandemic he made his ground in Amsterdam, where he performed at venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg and Sugar Factory. In 2020, he decided to bring his sound back to Iceland and found Volume, a new event entity for electronic music in Reykjavík.
