With the knowledge of today, we now know that the operational and financial side of the business, but also their (international) marketing strategy, was far from under control. What I lack in this interview are questions about core financials, in particular the cost structure (also related to the scalabity of the production process), cash flow and profitability. Vanmoof's strategy to go international in an early stage is financially seen always a bit tricky, because international expansion of almost any business has a massive impact on working capital and capital requirements. In the meantime you have to work on getting the business profitable. So, Vanmoof probably made a lot of beginner's mistakes. Next time, the interviewers should focus more on these core fundamentals.

I expected more questions about the bank, not general motivational cliches

Adyen leadership & executives are cultural conservatives; with their power to dictate terms with one of their clients, ebay, they’ve twisted the arms of ebay sellers who had listed items depicting any kind of nudity whatsoever. None of that stuff is allowed to be sold on ebay any more, including R rated movies intended for adult audiences that depict nudity. Transactions around those products aren’t any more “high risk” than selling used cell phones or delicate electronics. That’s a red herring argument.

Unfortunatlty, the bikes fail often and seriously. Users find themselves without a functioning bike miles from home. Check out Err40 which comes when you ride it in the rain...water gets into the bell button and the bike fails. Avoid.

Risk-taking person here, started the first organic catering business/take away "Andermaal" in the Netherlands, in 1991. Question: are organic quality food-products included, in the assortment of Picnic? Grown on organic farms in the Netherlands? I've looked into the website, and I understand that the time between harvesting vegetables, and fruit, and the arrival at the customer's home is short, which is great. I also appreciate the choice to support the local economy. Are organic farms and food-processers who make jams, cheese, butter, cookies, or snacks, among the producers?
