St Peters in Rome was built in 16th Cenury, the original St Peters, built in 4th Century was totally demolish to build the modern St Peters. Anyway St Peters is not the cathedrale of Rome, that is St John Lateran which was built in the 324 CE.

Cathedral is a church where the seat of bishop "Cathedra" is located. It is where the bishop's ministry starts and spreads from it. St. Peter's Basilica and Hagia Sophia are not cathedrals.

Actually the oldest cathedral is the one of St. Domnius in Split, Croatia

there are so many old cathedrals in Europe that you don't mention. For example in ghent ,antwerp brussel, liege. i think some of these cathedrals are even older than some the ones you mention. And a basilica is not a cathedral

Although generally smaller there are much older cathedrals in Armenia and Georgia. Armenia was the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as its religion in 301 AD shortly before Georgis in 326 AD. I visited several cathedrals of The Armenian Apostolic Church and The Georgian Orthodox Church in October 2023.

Hagia Sophia has reverted from its status as a museum and now it is again an active mosque.

St. Peter's in not a cathedral. Saint John Lateran is the cathedral for the Diocese of Rome.

St. Peter's Basilica is from 16th century, the old one from 4th century was demolished by pope Sixtus in order to built the current one. St. Vitus Cathedral is from 15th century, also built in lieu of the older one. There is much older romanesque basilica of St. George next to St. Vitus. You forgot to mention St. Domnius Cathedral in Split that WAS built in 4th century, St. Donatus in Zadar from 9th century, Basilica of St. Maria in Aquileia from 10th century, St. Euphrasius basilica from 6th century as few of many

Especially Love the old Gothic ladies when the choir is singing or the organ is being played. Chartres, Cologne, and Canterbury are spectacular. Love the younger Rosslyn Chapel, too.
