Only my grandmother visited Shillong in 1950s-1960s....She visit Iewduh,Wahumkhrah river ,etc...

When I first visit shillong at 1991 there were no crowd no rush, traffic where ever you want to park your car you can , everywhere people smiling and today only pipi popo everywhere nobody smiling, only money money

My great grandma says it was trendy for khasi ladies to wrap oneself like a parcel and walk in baby heels during that time.( just like those two ladies 1:19) now it looks funny, nobody wears like that anymore.. and I like how eveything has evolved.

I wished if our northeastern history was also. Taught in schools and colleges

and then the missionary came, told to leave our own and follow their culture along with religion.

I plan to shift there for my degree studies i hope it becomes a good experience it would be great if a local person guides me on which college to enter
