Seriously, OP was beyond helpful for this one - since he went and listened to HET at a listening point (and relayed the name 'Strange Complex' to us), he is one of the people credited with the solve!

It never has been - but the idea of using national libraries is relatively new - it's been brought up with the US LOC (Library of Congress) - but they charge a lot to let you listen, which you can only do in person, and you cant record or even bring a phone or anything. I'm actually still working on a Trip to Rio lead from the German Archive of Youth Culture - which was also a place we were investigating for TMMS. There's also a national Library lead for Forgive & Forget! I do think these sorts of libraries could solve a number of songs :)

@@NowListeningTo I registered and for some reason they didn’t take me in… I wrote a full paragraph about how I got there and I saw others also wrote paragraphs but never took in… I also noticed that people that didn’t write anything were able to join fine, so I disputed this and they kicked me

@@De19thKingJulion Good question. OP (whose username is actually spelled 'нет войне!') made a recreation this year (2024) off the sample he'd recorded all the way back in the 80s. And the recreation was actually VERY accurate, as it turns out!

@@NowListeningTo Ah, so it WAS made this year (the recreation). I found it & listened to it, he came pretty close, I must say! In regard to OP's name, in Russian, it's the words "No" & "War" respectively, or "No to war" collectively. My spelling was just my attempt to spell it in phonetic English. The band's name is spelled the same as Russian for "no", so the band might be called No (???) as opposed to UK's Yes ? I know the band is Swiss but it seems too good a coincidence to me...
