Today, August 23, is a sad and dark day for me and my family. On this day four years ago, my lovely youngest daughter Kelly died of suicide. We were all shocked, devastated and heartbroken. For the first two years of her passing, we were lost, confused and had been through the grief counseling. But life is unpredictable. I was diagnosed with cancer, a third-stage bladder cancer. So for the past two years, my family and I fought together for this battle. Grateful are we that we won the battle of cancer. I survived. However, in our hearts losing daughter and sibling is the most painful part of our life that we have to endure each everyday. So many tears that have fallen unseen and so many memories that have accompanied us day and night. This letter is only one small way to express my deepest longing for my lost daughter.
