Exploring Underwater Art: Snorkeling with 300 Statues in Saint Martin
Discover the most unique experience in Saint Martin - snorkeling or diving with 300 captivating concrete statues located 15 feet below the surface. These sculptures represent four different cultural eras of Saint Martin, including Mardi Gras, emancipation, historical tribal pieces, and a futuristic artwork.
For an unforgettable adventure, it costs $65 for adults and $35 for children to snorkel, or about $105 for diving. Note that diving is available only a few days a week, so be sure to plan accordingly.
You can easily reach this site from the shoreline. Ensure you have a flotation device, like a life jacket, to stay safe as it's a bit far out. This is a must-do activity when you're in Sain...

Saint Martin has some pretty amazing beaches, but few are as remote as Long Bay Beach. Isolated from most of the public, this beach can be difficult to get to and is best accessed by sea. Snorkeling is very limited and very few amenities.

Jungle Escape to the Worlds "Largest" Hammock
Thanks for this. Headed down tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
They no longer have the Bronco Sport off rodeo in Texas. LAME!!!!!!
well, this would be my wish I had to this earphones... because I am bothered from the coworkers wearing air pods pro or other earbuds and you can always here the other colleagues speaking when they joining calls... (which isn't the case with the onear headphone like Jabra Evolve2 65)... so thanks for sharing, I am waiting for earbuds which can do this job.
Did you have the laptop’s mic turned on?
My experience was a little bit different. When I first got them the mic noise cancellation was great. Blocked out voices and noise live tv's and music. I'm not sure if it was the firmware update or what but I tested them out the next day or shortly after and everything became audible to the person I was speaking/testing the ear buds with over the phone. Seems like it works when it wants to work idk but it sucks, I also but the headphones in the set thinking those would be better as well but those were absolute garbage as well when it came to mic noise cancellation. I cant get an answer anywhere to fix the issue. Glad I'm not the only one.
Maybe don’t test them in the highway
Where
It's an island in the Caribbean. A US territory.
5:35 The Silverback Charles. He has a tendency to approach the tourists just to let them know he's the one in charge! He's hilarious! There was a tourist who, despite the guides orders to stop taking pictures for a little while because Charles does not like it when there are too many shutter sounds! When he gets impatient, he will run up to the group, look at everyone then turn to his side to show off his massive body. This one guy decides he's gonna sneak taking a picture. Charles walked up to him, stared, and sat down right next to him, like he was a person! He then proceeded to "poop" on the guy's shoe!!! Then he walked away and posed again showing his side-view, to basically say "I'm in charge here, you broke the rules, so I pooped on you."
Thats is a hilarious story! Thanks for sharing.
What 2 families?
Isimbi and Umubano. I believe it to be Umubano because there were 5 Silverbacks.
the airplane is big
Lol, and it is really scary the first time one flies over.
What do YOU think of this beach?
Nice winery 🍷 We just came back from there. Great video. Keep up the good work.
Thank You @laporteadventures
doing this tomorrow morning! thanks for the video :)
1500 is a bargain!
Re. your comment that there are only about "1200 gorillas left in the world", that applies tothe mountain gorilla, subspecies which is the only species that people go to see and the only one that's been closely studied in the wild. The western lowland gorilla, the only subspecies that's in zoos, is much more numerous, but it's still considered endangered. I think there are estimated to be about 100,000 of them in the wild.
when a Silverback takes that sideways stance head looking up on one side...he is ready for battle!...this encounter has nothing to do with territory///its ALL about the females because it is known that they will leave a family to go to another..and that is what the Silverback is ready to fight to prevent
It was a really exciting experience!
Thank you so much for sharing this video😊
Is the parrot owned by the accommodation?
Love your video, may I ask you a HUGE question...We want to fly into St. Thomas from California and stay for about 6-7 days, then take ferry with our 2 luggages to St. John and stay for 6-7 days, and then take another ferry to British Virgin Island and stay for another 6-7 days, and when it's over take ferry back, and then fly back to California (round trip, set dates coming back from British Islands). Is that doable? Thanks for your help!
Which two gorilla families were these?
I dont recall the names. Sorry
*These are the rare "MOUNTAIN" gorillas. Very beautiful creatures, indeed!*
Oh wow! That must have been an incredible experience! Thank you for sharing this beautiful footage ❤
What an amazing experience you had! Truly spectacular. That lone silverback was MASSIVE!
my childhood beach is Brewers! it is more like a bathtub than a beach.....so calm!
What a childhood!
Your most welcome 🦍🇷🇼🇷🇼👈
Most areas say flashing red lights are for emergency vehicles only.. making the pulse system illegal
Awesome video! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Elizabeth. I am glad you liked it!
I look forward to our next adventure!
banies 🥰🥰🥰🦍🦍
What a beautiful encounter with the mountain gorillas
Thank you! It truly was a once in a lifetime!
1:47 It's so beautiful how the Silverback Charles sits back and observes his family.
@@TravelWise_JC Please can you tell me if one of the families is the Umubano family? I definitely see the "King" Silverback, Charles. He's very strict, assertive, and immensely intelligent. He is kinda moody sometimes to the tourists, because he is SO protective of his family.
@@MamaofaWrestler I believe I was in a group visiting the Isimbi family, and the other group may have been Umubamo because there were 5 silverbacks that I counted.
@@TravelWise_JCif it is Isimbi group you visit, the silverback is named Muturengere, and he is huge. When Getty died, he managed to keep the group together, as a blackback. He is special in every way.
looks fun! I hope to be able to do it one day!
I thought this was a gorilla convention
Curious if this is a collage and compilation or if the narrator has actually been here.
yup, I was there
Cater and sell what things😉👀👀😂
Amazing video! So helpful thanks!
Yo! greta recording!🤘
Thanks, all video from my different group travel experiences! Some from back when in 2013!
Nice presentation. I liked the way you used Google Maps and the National Park website and integrated these in the video. Very useful information.
Thank you for sharing. Now I just need friends to travel with.
I just bought a Bronco Sport Badlands and registered on the Bronco off Roadeo site. It only gave Moab and New Hampshire as options for the Bronco Sport.
They keep shifting the Sport locations. I tried to register for NH and it gone and they are not sure if it will be there next year. Thinking Moab now. Nice trip.
@@BHShaman we did Moab, it was an amazing experience. Besides the Off-Roadeo, we spent five days exploring the off-road trails ourselves.
@@thewanderingpinto5979 we would be in a rental. And wife will probably be worn out after a day of bouncing around... Haha. Would be traveling from Maine
@@ShawnBox we drove to Moab from Wisconsin, then on to Alaska. I didn't know if my wife would enjoy off-roading, but she did!
Those masks 🤣
Josh! This is the best You Tube video I have seen in years. Thanks! What an experience …..
Damn I thought this was Baltimore for a second
Fantastic
lol, here is a longer video. ruclips.net/video/E_uFbZ0Xjcs/видео.html
I had no idea there was aerotow there. I've only seen videos of the mountain foot launch. I've even met the owners of the flight park earlier this year at Wallaby Ranch Hang Gliding in Davenport Florida. They never mention that there was aerotowing there.
Never ever rent a gypsy taxi. They do not need to follow mandated rates on island and are not a part of the taxi association. There is no recourse if you negotiate with a gypsy and have a problem of ANY kind - and it does happen with unsuspecting tourists being touted by unsavory drivers. All of your other content is fine, if someone needs to call a taxi ask a business owner and always make sure you ask them the price before you get in. They should always have their taxi license displayed where you can see it. If you find one you like then take their card and reuse.
very good recomendations and a super complete guide with maps and websites!!!!
Hi @Travel Wise where did you go for ticket? Or any reservations needed?
