Boss Reggae and Rocksteady formation from Madrid focused on the sounds of the Golden Age of Jamaican music.
The name Mango Wood is an ode to the Calypso and Mento groups of the 1950s. In those bands, their songs had a high percentage of sexual lyrics using an immense variety of vocabulary.
Its ranks are made up of members with over 15 years of experience in Jamaican music. Its powerful vocal section is reminiscent of various groups from the late 60s such as Maytones, Bleechers, Versatiles, Kingstonians, Ethiopians, etc. and its solid instrumental section gives the group a very characteristic old sound.
