Florida Power/Tampa Electric

Luigi and Elsa
I miss him
0:20 Thomas! 🚂
To each his own, but got hooked on you gotta play it safe around a power line.
Good memories from back before Canada was a nightmare dystopia
Hey I know that voice, he did the Schoolhouse Rock stuff
R.I.P. Jack Sheldon, the guy who played Louie.
Totally not inhumane
See Louie The Lightning Bug was developed by some big US hydro company. And of course provided it to Every local and regional hydro company. Manitoba Hydro played these till at least 2004 in Winnipeg. But on the Manitoba Hydro website they still feature him super heavily
Dude, these used to air on PBS Kids
OG. Center point energy for me
When I hear this I know that after this is “mid American energy”
Alabama power created and holds the trademark for Louie the Lightning Bug and introduced him in 1983. Soon he was syndicated across the US, Canada and the Caribbean. These are masterpieces of our childhood memories.
As a local Alabamian, I always saw these commercials between shows on PBS Kids
That's exactly why I love the 80s, especially 1983.
This is so funny but what is the name of the cartoon I think it’s unknown
Thank you Louie For All Your Knowledge you gave me as a Child
Now I know about electric safety way more than ever thanks to the little lightning bug.
I wonder who done the animation.
A message from Texas-New Mexico Power Company
The local power company still played these ads when I was in high school. Not anymore 💔
Cause the actor of Louie died. They can’t find him a new one
@@Sageytheaxoloti They could rerun the old PSAs
We need him back and public service announcements like this
I’m worried there gonna make him in 3D.
@@mediocrebreakfast8024 CGI you mean? well wasn't he also voiced by the late Jack Sheldon
Yes, he was. I surely do miss him. These weren't just ads, these were experiences that give you that strong feeling.
I agree.
Guys I have some terrible news! There's a new Louie...I know I know, and he's horrible
I remember seeing the Christmas ad before
A message from SCE&G
Omg this brings back so many memories 😂😂😂😂😂
Nice
RIP Jack

How if there is lights in the shower
I think that “light” is the humidity
He's back on our own Electrical System. He's so cool.
A message from commonwealth edison (chicago)
That maestro is the man.
That maestro is the man.
That's one cool-ass spider...
Louie’s not a spider. He’s a lightning bug
@@madisonhantz-lane2768 The one, at the end, playing the strings, you misfiring chromosome!
@@jmiller297 What does that even mean?!
Aint gonna be long before they fight to death. They can, and eventualy get loose from the bands
Dont Play Here is good enough to be a single
Omg
A message of the loop power district for me
I love the very very appropriate sudden shift in tone in the third one. Catchy slogans like "Gotta play it safe around power lines" quickly give way to "Switchgear: Everyone should fear it. Don't play here. LEAVE. PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. PLAY IN THE STREET. THIS IS NOT A PLACE OF HONOR. NO GREAT DEEDS ARE COMMEMORATED HERE. THERE IS NOTHING VALUED HERE. THIS PLACE IS BEST SHUNNED AND LEFT UNINHABITED. Z̶̳̖͙̖A̳͚̤L̥̜̗̻̖̟̹G͓͈̜̗O̥̞̪ ͓̟̖͖̳I̢̯̺̱͈͖͖S̻̦͖͕̱ ͞C̸̗̪ͅO̰͔͚͚̺̫̩M̗̼̱̳̩͓I̴̻̮͇̥̦͖̯ŅG̲̳̘͖."
Gorgeous!
Thanks. Do you have a macro lens?
I have a macro zoom lens that does the job, but I'm looking at either getting a dedicated macro lens or the reverse mount. Haven't decided yet!
A message from Georgia Power, A Southern Company.
It will always be "A SAFETY MESSAGE FROM NB POWER" to me.
A message from the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation.
great local breeder - good prices
When I first saw these commercials, I thought that he sounded just like Jack "Conjunction Junction" "I'm Just a Bill" Sheldon from Schoolhouse Rock! And I looked it up, and that's exactly who it was!
jasobres And it's the same guy who sang "Ladybug Picnic" and "The Alligator King" on "Sesame Street," too.
@@bradleycotton3237 The singer behind "Ladybug Picnic" is Jim Kweskin. And the singer behind "The Alligator King" is deceased San Francisco jazz musician Turk Murphy.
jasobres I love Schoolhouse Rock
N.
Manitoba Hydro.
did that socket and lightbulb have some form of sex?
you know somethings up with society nowadays that AEP Ohio is putting these back on T.V.
I wish Toledo Edison still played these!
This was truly my childhood

hey where's the one with the signs this is not all of them
🎶 You gotta obey what signs say 🎶 That is my favorite too.
I have all of them on my channel :P
Which kid plays around electrical transformers?
I think my friends played around them.
Dead ones.
When I was growing up in my apartment complex they would make really cool clubhouses to hide behind. They were essentially big metal boxes
