how do set the pixel of the design block for each design. i mean some design 400x400px, some 200x200px, sometimes 600x600px. can you share your formula. i am lost. thanks a milion if u respons this

Thank you for being so generous and sharing your template. I've been watching (and liking) many of your tutorials, and just clicked the subscribe button. I'm new to the concept of surface design, and aspects of sizing have been a bit perplexing. This tutorial, and your template have helped demystify a lot. I think it will all gel when I finish a design and play on Spoonflower with an upload. Future plans ;). Truly appreciate your tutorials and all the time it takes you to make them.

I always forget how to do this so end up doing a RUclips on the rare occasions I need it. Firstly, in a tutorial, you never step over the steps by saying 'I have an action'/ Your users do not, unless you supply it and mention its necessity ahead of the tutorial. Secondly, for anyone else, you can centre stuff by clicking on the layer, pressing ctrl/cmd+A to select all, pressing V to get the move tool and then going to the top tool bar and clicking the central align icon for vertical and horizontal. You can also rotate to 90 degrees by pressing ctrl/cmd+T, holding shift and clicking and dragging outside of the bounding box to rotate. Holding shift will make it rotate in multiples of 45 degrees.

Thanks for the video. Have you noticed any glitches with the proofing tool (which is still in beta mode)? When I make striped designs, there's always a misalignment issue in the proofer. It seems like the algorithm moves things by a pixel, making correct designs look like they're not correct?

I found this incredibly difficult to follow along with. I was trying to follow along with all of the steps, but then I would find out that you were just showing a different variation of how to colour the background etc, when we had already learned that and I thought it was showing how to make the seamless pattern. I appreciate your work and that you are giving different options, however it has made it overly complicated.

Those grid choices dont seem to show up anymore. Am I doing something wrong or have they removed them?
