Home Depot Husky would’ve been better Actually that crack heads adjustable wrench would’ve been better
?
Easy work. Why video this? Sheep!
Cuz it's a 25mm wrench harbor freight and snap on only goes to 24😂
Harbor freight did have a wrench set that goes up to 25
Not sure about snap on
I’m using a 1 inch sae wrench from gearwrench pretty much the equivalent of a 25
Why do you have a bedalized steering wheel cover
I did some work for my cousin like brakes on her car and she gave me the bedazzled steering wheel as payment 😅
Thanks. It looks like I need a special bit not a regular Phillips.
I use a regular Phillips
Good stuff gotta do mine its broke dwn
Thanks! 🙏
This is too funny my name is also Jesse and I’m somewhat a mechanic 😅
😂 nice
The last two that I have replaced batteries in would never turn back on. :(
Some of them are hit or miss
I had that happen. Figured there was nothing to lose so i smacked the back of it a few times on my desk. Good as new.
ZZZZZZZZZZ....its a socket ....
Yes
What size axle puller adapter do you have for your slide hammer? I have a slide hammer but need to buy that fork adapter for the cv but amazon has them listed by size and I'm unsure what size to buy.
There wasn’t really an option. I bought my slide hammer from Harbor freight and then I bought my adapter piece from AutoZone. It’s just screws onto the slide hammer.
Thanks for that... I was hoping I wasn't going to have to find a screwdriver to take those screws out!
Turns out it was the starter brand new starter the main hot wire stud was bent, causing it to ark off
Use copper terminals please
Those terminals were already on the car. If the customer comes back and decides to get it fixed, you’re saying I should use copper terminals?
Thanks man
My rotors on my truck are worst then that right now 😂, gotta get around to it
When it goes faster need more brakes sooner. They think its like a kia driven normally.
Check your caliper and hardware
I did new guid pins and rubber bushings
With new hardware
Some have a binder tape, around the flaslight body, that cannot be easily removed.
I haven’t seen one like that yet
Just don’t send them your battery. They’ll say they can’t warranty it because of water damage. 🤦♂️
You have the ABS or brake line pulled tight as hell.
thanks for recording everything except the most difficult parts
Yes need too get a better set up
What part is that?
Thanks so much. Whoddathunkitt?
What a pain waiting on bolts. I like that rack. I used that rack type for years doing alignments. Good job.
I can't take the axel nut off
Do you have an impact
What's kind of drill was that
It’s not a drill
It’s kobalt 1/2 drive impact wrench
What's the model number? I'm trying to buy one but don't know which one is the one you used. @@mechanicjesse5430
Mine I believe is an older model #KIW 5024B-03 got mine at the pawnshop
Your video recording skills suck .can't even see what's going on...leave it to the pros lol this is not your lane
Lol my guy recorced everything but the removal of it 😂
?
Haha right
This is the third or fourth video I've had to skip because of the poor procedures potentially damaging brake lines and sensor wires, or using the wrong tools.
This repair was done one year ago brake lines are not damaged sensors are not damaged?? 😊
@@mechanicjesse5430 I'm pretty sure it would be a bit more helpful to your viewers had you not filmed it upside down!
@@jimmymolinaro7554 thank you for the input. I am still learning on how to use the camera
Yikes! Look at your job again. You did not unbolt the ABS Sensor and by the middle of the video, when you pried the knuckle from the strut, you are stretching the ABS Sensor wire to it maximum potential. Every manual tells you to remove the ABS and Caliper first. This guy's car will have a failed ABS soon.
You do got a valid point it wasn’t putting a lot of stress on it so I didn’t remove it and I do not have a filled ABS yet. Still good. But it is a good idea to go ahead and remove that
And I did remove the ABS wire not completely but enough to relieve that strain it was putting on
I'm in the middle of removing this, but it's because I need room to pull the alternator off. I've seen about three or four RUclips videos on both removing the outside by removing the strut bolts, or the bottom bracket bolts. Also, there are tools for this and for removing the CV axle from the transmission. Without the tools, I've seen the CV axle removed by prying, striking it out with a pry bar from the drivers side and even just by tying a strap around it and pulling it hard to pull it loose. I'm going to give it a try now, but I can get the tools under the loaner program up the street. Probably better to do it with the tools, instead of prying, hammering and striking it.
Follow up. I removed the two strut bolts. Used a block of wood to pound the CV axle loose and then went under the car with a pry bar and hammer and tapped the CV axle loose from the transmission. With it out of the way, the alternator literally fell out of the car. Cleaning it all up and ready to reverse everything.
@@Wakeupandsniffthecoffee Nice job I remove the alternator on this van without removing the CV axle but it is easier to take it out the bottom I just didn’t wanna do all that
Hilarious!
Do u have to take the strut off the assembly or disconnect tie rod
You could take the strut assembly or disconnect the tie rod
But that’s more work I find it easier just to drop the lower control arm with the lower ball joint enough to force the axle out from the hub assembly
Nice view
Is it the same way for the driver side?
Pretty much
So do we have to buy 2? Of those ?

Liked to match subscribers
Now you need an alignment after lol
What is the cheapest way to get it done?
@@mertcaninanici9633 axles don't change your alignment
Alignment was fine
@@mertcaninanici9633 well there’s no real cheap way you want to buy a quality part when installing a CV axle if you do the work yourself you will save lots of money
I replaced mine last June, passenger side outerboot already cracking. Gotta love aftermarket axles
Read toooooo many comments about this. Decided to just go OEM
