Man what a story and what a car; when I win the lottery I'll have one.
What people don't know John DeLorean is the one that made this car
Awesome Bill, wish I still had my first car, was a Red on Red 1962 Chevy Impala SS 283 4 speed !!!
Is it for sale?

Im envious, he lived a great life
O carro ja tenho, queria saber onde vende essa camisa que não acho em lugar algum.
Awesome video.....
This is almost the same car as my dads but it’s a convertible with all red interior
Nice car! My father had one too, and I use to drive it and impress the girls!🇺🇸🇦🇺🦘
You and your Chevy…built to last.
that was a great story. I'd like to hear if he drove it continuously since new or is spent some time resting in the garage. also what it looked like before he restored it.
My Boss was telling me a while back he had a 62 impala convertible 409 4 speed when the Gas crunch hit in the 70s he had to sell it ! Can you imagine what that's Worth today ! 😥💔
WELL SIR ALL I KNOW IS THAT YOU ONE BAD RIDE🙏🙏👍👍✌️✌️
That’s right 🎉
Most today's cars, look the same... Especially the SUVs... No inspiration... No personality... The old cars had personality...
They fired the excellent designers to save money.
American car company's better smarten up. Were so sick of there jelly bean designs. Get back to cool cars
Corporate greed???
It was the end of the hippy movement that ended the production of cars that were art as much as the were transportation
I'm not a fan of boring round head lights
Great story. 👍
Mandates.
What a beautiful story, I still have my '65 GTO convertible which was my first car, bought it in the early 70's and glad I kept it.
Totally agree 💯💯💯 and I'm 25 I want to get a lot of cars for the 1920S-1985
It sure doesn't the class
Today's cars have zero class.
And your gas mileage will suck ….
,#100 !..….my uncle brought his new 62 red Impala conv. to our home to show us..I was 5... It was something else 🎉
Such a great story!
A story well worth listening to. I remember I was 10 yrs old coming out of school when I saw the 62 Impala for the first time. One of my favorites.
Thank you for this share 💋
I learned how to drive with a exact duplicate of this car... base 283 2 barrel (black with red interior) only thing that was extra was somebody had put duel crome pipes out the back (and it sounded great!) ...manuel stearing and brakes! :) ... it was my mom's second hand car... and a great one!
Awesome car
Outstanding, l had a 62 Impala sport coupe black in color, but it was a 283 powerglide.

That's an awesome Car, I bought a '64 SS from the Original Owner back in '82, he didn't like the '64 Red so he had it painted '62 Fire Engine Red just like this right after he bought it, mine had White interior, unfortunately my Ex Wife hounded me daily about that Car so I finally sold it, I wished I just would have divorced her first and I'd still have the Car.
Nice story ...a car with first hand history.
My uncles first car was a new 57' Chevy BelAir, then a 60' Chevy Impala, then a 63' Impala.
I came home from the Hospital in a 52 Olds 88 in the late 50s.
that was my first car. i am 67 in sept. it was the same color as yours. mine was a 283 2drht with black int. my daddy was a used car salesman so i grew up on a car lot and became a professional transmission rebuilder. wish i had my car back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Ford galaxy IS NOT the dawn of American muscle. That honor goes to the 1964 Pontiac GTO. Pretty much every Car magazine ever has accredited the GTO for being the first muscle car.
I had a black one back in '68... now I ride a bicycle.
I dont think so Scooter...
