Can we do the same setting for Canon EOS R6 mark II?
Canon's profile settings in their newer cameras are still very similar to the older versions, so it is quite possible you can can use very similar settings. However, with C-Log 3 now in most of the newer cameras, I suggest using C-Log for the absolute best results. If you just want a quick and clean video without using C-Log, you can pretty much go with what I have stated in this video. The key will be to make sure you expose properly and find areas with decent lighting. I still use these same settings with my new canon R8 and R7 cameras.
Thanks bro from india
Awesome! Hope it works out for you.
show us the app or go home.
3:51 "Color Temp Meter". App does not work well on these newer smartphones. It did at the time of this video. This is a more recent version: apps.contechity.com/colortempmeter/
Do you know to to fix the cutting lines in the videos? I mean, I recording with 4K but it's crop, (I'm seeing double black lines), do have any idea how to remove it during the post? (I'm using Vegas 19 pro), Thanks!!
There should not be any black lines. Make sure you are using a compatible lens. Make sure your settings in Vegas are correct.
@@martydenson_mfm Thanks
Wow Marty that’s so helpful ! Had this camera for a few years and not really used video, will now give it a go ,thank you so much what an awesome camera it is
The issue wasn't video quality, it was video file size especially for the 4k resolution at 4gigs per minute
Totally agree with you. I have always had top tier Macs and ridiculous amounts of external storage so the large file sizes never phased me once. I "assumed" most people had similar since storage is not that expensive, and if they're in this video industry, they all had fast & somewhat powerful computer systems. But clearly file size was crazy.
You are amezing
Thanks, I've been using Cinematic settings which I installed from a third party but will try this settings. I have a Samyang 14mm F2.8 ultra wide lens which I use with a Zhiyun Weebill S stabilizer. Unfortunately my 5D Mk IV does not have 4K at 60FPS. Will try on 60fps at 1080P for smoothness quality. I was going to get the Gopro 9 for the 4K 60fps but Gopro can't beat my 14mm super wide lens.
Awesome. 1080 @60 fps is still good. If you can shoot things in manual mode i.e. dialing in your shutter, f-stop, & ISO with using manual focus, the image is even better. With perfect exposure & focus you can easily upscale it to 4k and most viewers will never be able to tell. Good luck.
Thank you it's help me a lot!
Glad I could help. I still use these settings even 2yrs later. Every now and then I will lower the sharpness to be a little less sharp when I'm using a really sharp lens, but other than that I use the same settings I mentioned in the video.
@@martydenson_mfm yes I tried it and looks great 👍
How do you feel about using the Canon C-log for recording videos?
Canon C-log is the best way to record on all Canon cameras. It's well worth the purchase & I highly recommend it. In this video I just wanted to show the video quality straight out of camera without having to color correct and color grade.
Thank you, I will give this a go.
Cool. You'll get even better results if you can nail that manual focus. I still use these same settings. (2 yrs later)
That’s not even the right backpack for the title of this video
Yes it is. It's discontinued now but that is the name. You might be looking at a newer version. Here is the new version and the old version mentioned in this video: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Lowepro%20450%20Aw%20Pro%20Runner&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&ap=Y&gclid=CjwKCAjw4rf6BRAvEiwAn2Q76vHmLxmwiS3jC8YhBQEvVjZyupoWlClg34UFnEidGAlCk732_o9N3BoCxhMQAvD_BwE
Great Video bro. Will try these settings ASAP. Love the video examples.
Thank you. I still say the 5D4 is so under-rated. You can get really good results if you spend some time under the hood and nail those settings. Best wishes.
Good video
Thank you. I tried to be thorough.
So is it better if you dont have the money for full sail to gain knowlege about your degree and then transfer to full sail because i was expecting to come unknowlegable and learn everything at full sail
I would highly recommend you learn the craft first the best you can before deciding to go to Full Sail. I would suggest you look into low cost courses and/or workshops of the area you are interested in. What is it you would be looking to do if you did graduate from Full Sail? It's really hard to break into any media industry with only 18-24 months of training. It usually takes SEVERAL years of experience, knowledge, and an incredible portfolio to even get looked at by any major company. Full Sail can't give you all of that in their short programs especially if you have little to no knowledge when starting Full Sail. It will turn out to be a very discouraging ending in most cases...huge student loans, no incredible portfolio/body of work, and so on. The industry is looking for those who are a "beast" at their craft. In other words, finding a serious job with a major company in your circumstance will prove to be nearly impossible. Before I attended, I was already well versed with the entire Adobe CS, CC suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) I was really good with Pro Tools, Logic, Abelton, FL Studio, and so many other programs. I had already recorded and produced tracks with well-known artists and had shot hundreds of videos (commercials, weddings, documentaries and the list goes on. Then I went to Full Sail which helped me get a promotion at the university where I teach.
@@martydenson_mfm Ya im definetly not well trained in anything that would help me pursue my career field which i would hope to be in film production but ya i thought that by going to full sail i would gain the training i need and hopefully get a shot at getting into some major film company. Ive been struggling trying to find a career and i know that ive always loved watching movies so i decided i wanted to pursue that dream.
Do you know any schools in georgia that offer something similar to full sail with film production.
@@kobebland4835 The first thing I would suggest is to start reading about the history of film...(Google that topic). Film is more than just the equipment and shooting - much more. Then I would suggest you read about Cinematography. I believe there are a few film schools right in Georgia that may be a lot cheaper than Full Sail. 1.Georgia Film Academy & 2. Film Connection Film Institute. I do not know any details about these schools but I do believe they are cheaper than Full Sail. Most of these schools are trade schools, which means their credits won't have much leverage if you decide to transfer to a 4-year accredited university later on. Not a big deal if you don't plan to go to a 4-year college.

Great looking studio! I envy you, my friend.:)
Thanks, Adi. I enjoy working in my studio as much as I can, Nice to have this kind of setup at home.
Congrats Marty! Great tips. I'm sure you just saved somebody some time. Just like you, this challenge made me learn these lessons the hard way.
Thanks Tom. Learning by doing is what it takes sometimes.
@@martydenson_mfm What Tom said. :) Congrats!
Very cool story and quite the experience Marty!
A dream come true at such an early age. Never did I imagine that would happen.
30 Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did it. You made it across the finish line. Lol !
Congrats Marty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks man. I checked out the music video you just posted - very dope. I gotta start using my GH5 more. Love the look you're getting from the GH5.
@@martydenson_mfm thank you sir.
Here to support your channel. Keep up the good work!
I so appreciate your support. Thank you.
Nice and simple starter kit for audio. Thanks!
Great job!
Just found your channel..so cool...I upload my 24th video tomorrow. I love your Thumbnails!
Thank you. I've been looking for the other channels who have taken on the #ScottMcKennaChallenge. Thumbnails courtesy of my extensive Photoshop library. Lol
Keep pushing man!!!
Thanks Man!
Definitely agree with your points man, its way more about the story and content then whether it's a bit crispier. The reason I shoot in 4K often for things like interviews is so that I can have some flexibility in post, reframing and cutting to close-ups from the same shot etc.
Thanks for checking out the vid. As we get more experienced we learn those tricks we can do when shooting 4k. I had some college kids I know ask about old cameras & 1080p so I used that idea to create this vlog. Just trying to complete this 30-day challenge. Lol
Dover mall👎🏽
When you come from a big city in New Jersey like me, the Dover Mall seems pretty small in comparison. Lol
Nice info Marty!
Thank you. Just helping people connect with opportunities.
Good stuff brother! Thanks!
Thanks.
Good stuff!! Very true!!
Crazy how that works.
Appreciate your attention to detail! Also that B-Roll game for those test shots is strong. Keep up the uploads man. We can get this! #scottmckennachallenge.
Crazy Edit at one point. The rush to upload is such pressure. Lol
Goodluck Marty!!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Good job. I may not have have taken it on, personally. Salute for making it happen.
