What's your budget and what resolution is your monitor

Uhhh Ryzen 9 3900x, RTX 3080, 32gb (3200 MHz) and a handful of peripherals. There's biggest thing for BeamNG is your CPU and RAM. Beam requires at least 16 I believe? If you have over that amount it'll run pretty smooth. Despite my setup I still play beam on normal settings for BeamMP for a reliable 60fps

Your resolution is super important! Good point. If you're at 1080p you can get away with getting more budget friendly components fs

Haha I uh also play with all the assists off Tehe except for over steer protection. It helps a lot with drifting on controller, once I get a proper sim rig I'll turn everything off for sure

Agreed! most of my saved configs have sport tires. For whatever reason I tend to pay more attention when I know I'm using sport tires. Which of course leads to me crashing less.

Sadly I have to agree. I'm curious how the devs quantify grip and how they chose the specs for each set. Although there is a missing element in this game that's almost impossible to get right: True sense of speed. Irl it's much easier to not surpass the limit or your car partially because you feel how fast your going and partially because he don't want to die haha. You can't exactly feel the cars limits based on what speed your traveling in beam.

​@Skrunks.mp4 well that is sim racing in greneral but with good settings in motion blurr and the camera shake mod you get to a reasonable degree of other sims than if automation cars are in use well having samething dangel down the key or mirror as a g-force sensitive prop cann also help with sense for speed and the magnus opus would be a motion rig 😅 but yeah the money and space and technical understanding for that is quite the high investment

I was just thinking this the other day, i was trying to rock crawl and man my tires kept slipping on the rocks like it was covered in moss. And it was kind of annoying because they were aired down and should have enough grip to slow crawl right over but they just slip so easily.

Well, automation racing softs are completely stupid, no compound on earth that is used grips that much

I use an Audiotechnica at2020, GoXLR, and OBS to record/stream. There's a guy on yt, I think his name is Senpai Gaming now, he had a guild on how to set it all up which was very helpful. All you gotta know is you need a mic with an XLR output and a high quality audio interface to process what's coming out of your microphone. USB mics are all well and good but if you want a really crispy sound invest in some proper equipment 👍

Heyo! I prefer rally coil overs for street applications. Because I have an increased ride height the car has more time to soak up big bumps or jumps you might encounter out on the street. By default rally coilovers feel really floaty but with a proper alignment and a good tune on your dampeners, they feel fantastic 😁

Heck yeah! I have a rally config and a race config collecting dust. Maybe I'll pull those out some time 🧐

Thanks for your in-depth response! I set the spring-rate lower to get my ride height just right 😅 but you are correct, it should be a little stronger for the ideal setup.
