We used Zendesk for years and then we were made to move to salesforce. Do your support team a favor and go with Zendesk. SF is obviously not built for customer service teams. Why is Zendesk better? Here is a list of reasons my team misses ZD so much. ZD has their own phone and chat built within the system not a clunky integration with another software. Zd has a very clean ticket view so you can easily read through your ticket thread. SF adds way too much and there is no way to quiet the noise and hard to find details within the ticket. ZD is easy to see between internal notes and external all in one spot with subtle color change. SF you have to click through tabs to see other notes. ZD you can copy paste images into internal notes for documentation with ease. SF you have to save to your computer then upload. ZD has way better bulk option to update multiple tickets at once wich SF does not have. ZD allows you to see when someone else is viewing a ticket so that multiple people don't work on the same ticket not a feature in SF. I could keep going. If you truly appreciate your support team pick Zendesk!

Zoho desk has all kinds of undocumented API limits, slowing down the creation of objects with any tool other than their own. How long does it take to migrate 100,000 tickets with your service?

Jira has crap functions it's all over the place, Snow is strait forward for designated IT teams.. Jira options, end user will have to fill out all the nformation that's just too much, many end users just skip the process, lots of garbage that the end user will have to fill out.. SNOW is straightforward, end users can email their information, then help desk can fill in the issues that pertain to the issue or gather more information before a ticket is created and assigned.. Jira page is too much information for the end user to fill out, one technicians get the ticket you will have to scroll down through the whole page process it's a clutter mess..
Are you aware of the fact that all fields in Jira SM are configured by the admin? You don't have to prompt too much questions. It's up to the Admins how they designed the form.

But the flip side is that vendor develops their platform and don’t dig into the peculiarities of the data structure of competitors.
