Come and have a look- I hope it helps you too.

Fair play; I went to do the circular walk past Llyn Fan y Fach/Llyn Fan y Fawr in Bannau Brychieniog last September and I got to the first lake the fog, wind and rain closed in fast, and knowing I was barely halfway and with a fair bit of elevation left to go, I turned around. Sometimes you just get the 'feeling', and it's always better to leave it than get yourself in trouble! Great channel!

New subscriber and I really appreciated this video, thank you! I have been doing a lot more hiking over the last couple of years and love the satisfaction of reaching a summit, but I was really surprised to discover I seem to have a bit of vertigo which makes me really wobbly on steep sections with any kind of drop. Ridge walking or any sort of technical scramble just doesn't feel safe for me, so it's great to see other routes. I'm thinking Skiddaw might be a good one for me when I next make it to the Lakes as it seems to have a fairly wide path and obviously no scrambling. A great achievement to do Blencathra via any route!!! Thanks for the video.

It's a bit of a slog up by the trees if you've any years in your legs, I think it has got steeper, but not much more than a stroll after that. The beauty of the Thirlmere side is the choice of routes. Note to beginners - ignore any guides which tell you airily that the edges are the way to go. Go up from Thirlmere and look at them from the top first and make your own decison. A devout coward I've always left them alone. The lovely ridge walk starting at Thirlspot and ending via Grisedale Tarn is an excellent all day alternative. (Check the bus timetable. I didn't once.)
