We lived in the last house on a dead end street. The guy few houses up the street drove down to turn around in his brand new 73’ Grand Prix. It was black with white interior brand new! I thought it was the most expensive, classiest, sharpest car I ever seen. I was 13 years old. The car would be parked in the driveway sometimes and I would stop and just check it out again and again. When my dad bought a slightly used 73 just exactly like the one in video I couldn’t wait for my license to drive it so I would sneak it any chance I had. Took it after it snowed and forgot about the car now being clean of snow and the tire tracks so I had to shovel the driveway to rid the tracks and told dad I cleaned car off for him. I was 15’ years old. This car is my only soulmate

65 is the finest of the three, one off model, a G/S like this can easily bring in 40 k plus, but for someone who’s been searching for a clean, original one like this there’s no telling 💰

The hood is misaligned ...

Not a V8 but a straight eight with a bad lifter or valve. This engine is silent when running properly without vibration. Nice car, not a show winner but good solid survivor. I have a straight eight 1949 that's the same color. Small differences in trim and the engine is a 288, same block.

Looks like a hodgepodge of non-available options; 396 was a 265hp 2bbl in ‘69 and hideaways were only available on the Kingswood Estate/Caprice, not Kingswood/Impala. Still a cool car.

This car was painted correctly. Notice the welting between the fenders and body is not painted, indicating the fenders were painted separately before being attached, which is how it was done from the factory. Nice touch. Also, the left knob you pulled is, or should be, the hand throttle. The choke is actually to the right between the radio and lighter.

Price? Also, is it a genuine 2+2? PHS?

Makes me miss mine I owned from 1980 to 89. What is it with people that just slap the rear spoilers on so stupid. the wing should not be parallel to the trunk lid angle but at the LEAST parallel to the ground or better slightly tipped down in front. Don't drive this at higher speeds. The rear end will lift, not down force at it is supposed to. The spoilers were not ornaments they were FUNCTIONAL. Reason why the actually T/A Bosses had them. Stuff like this really bugs me lol.

With all due respect. If, after replacing the fuel tank, rebuilding the carb and giving the brakes a once over - why would the steering wheel which is clocked at 2:30 while obviously driving in a straight line not be on your list of absolute must do's to correct? Not addressing such relatively minor - (or is it?) - minutia, leaves one justifiably questioning all other aspects of the car.

She is definitely a driver and something about dual rear antennas I dig, just Always thought they were cool not messing with the front fenders the fast looking angle swept back and symmetrical
