A few of the things you can expect to see while diving the Southwest corner of the island.

We stayed at Allegro Cozumel and dove with ProDive International.

Those are Christmas Tree Worms! Usually only found living inside colonies of Porites coral. These guys were actually the inspiration for one of the creatures in the movie Avatar.

Thanks for the comment! Hopefully as you develop skills as a diver, you will learn how to use shallow and deep breaths to control buoyancy. I recommend you look into the AOW and peak performance buoyancy courses.

Hi, I am planning to bring my mavic pro over this hotel in december, did you have any problem with the staff or airport to fly your drone over there? Wich airport did you went? Directly at Cozumel or Cancun? Just to know how the customs react when you bring / get out of airport with a drone. Thanks!
We arrived at the Cancun airport and took the ferry across. No one gave us any trouble over the drone, just make sure you keep the batteries in your carry on and you should be fine.

Absolutely beautiful! How did you like the Thailand Aggressor? I went on the Turks Aggressor in April 2017 and will be going on the Roatan Aggressor in January 2018. Being a woman typically traveling alone, I love going on the Aggressors.

When you say "stabilized," do you mean you ran the video through a stabilizer? As in After Effects?
RUclips has a stabilization option now? Woah. I haven't been creating or uploading videos in several years. I spent an arm and a leg with After Effects years ago, now it's available on RUclips! You woulda thought.

Why are most peoples dive suits dark colors, is this a safety issue?
Cordelia B It's just personal preference. Most of the wetsuits on the market are all black or black with some other color trim.

Cordelia B I think the noises you are referring to are from another divers signaling device. It's basically just an underwater noise maker to get someone's attention.

I did two dives in Cozumel earlier this year. First dives ever. Going to Roatan next summer to get certified and we are staying for two and a half weeks for more dives!! So excited!

when I was a kid, we lived in la ceiba and my parents say roatan was a sleepy fishing community with a dirt landing strip. In "91 I got certified there and recall walking to a tree house on west end beach by way of beach-because there was no road yet. Frazier's pier was the end of civilization, more or less. I went back in 2003 to find the entire beach bustling with tourists and shops/hotels.

Thanks! I used GoPro studio for this video but I've switched to PowerDirector now. There was some minor software color correction done but a red filter is a must. I use the Backscatter Flip 3.1 system for shooting.
Nice video clips. Great quality as well. Which camera do you prefer the most? What kind of LED lamp is used during filming because the colors look amazing!
Thanks, Alex! Most of the footage was shot with a GoPro Hero4 Silver Edition with the dive filter from Backscatter. As for the lights, I use 2 SeaLife Sea Dragon 2500's.
