Airwaves - So Hard Living Without You
Haven't heard this in a long time. Takes me back to when I first heard it!
Why doesn’t anybody feel the way i feel about you now
Binned my old vinyl, massive regret. This album was brilliant ...
OMG i havnt heard this since the mid 70s so THANK YOU
Love this song!
Favourite version! ❤
This is the ONLY copy I can find of this song 🎶 well done for posting 👌✨
Pbs brought me here
Love this, brought back happy memories, just been played on Boom Radio UK :)
nice to hear some one covering this stuff
An 1980 my sister asked my parents for an Air Supply record... this is what she got. Lots of disappointment for her... total elation for me. I've since worn that record out and recently bought a pristine replacement. Last week I picked up their second album.
Crimson Tide did a hell of a cover of this that received notable FM rock play. Their version really outdoes Airwaves' while staying entirely faithful to the spirit of the original. From their first s/t album in 1978. Highly recommended.
Beautiful
Lovely thanks for the post.
After listening with huge joy to your share of "nobody is", I looked for this! Thank you *SO MUCH*, please tell these guys (if you know them personally) that they've blessed me more than I can express! And thank you hugely, Soulproxy! 💞
💓💓💓
Do you also have "You are the new day?" LOVED this album back in the day, but only had it on cassette...
Yeah all the LP is on my account 💜
LOVE this! Have done for decades - should have been #1! A gazillion times over! 💞
Top banana tune, one of my brothers faves. Pax to all from soulboy73.Xxx.
Now, listen here, COP 26! There can be hope.

The merry brown hares came a-leaping Over the crest of the hill Where the clover and corn lay a-sleeping Under the moonlight so still Leaping late and early 'Till under their bite and their tread The swedes and the wheat and the barley Lay cankered and trampled and dead A poacher's poor widow sat sighing On the side of the white-shored bank Where under the gloomy fir-wood One (spot in ground?) lay in rank She watched the long tufts of clover Where rabbit or hare never ran For its black (sour horm?) covered over The blood of her murdered man She thought of the dark plantation And the hares and her husband's own blood And the voice of her indignation Rose up to the throne of God Oh, there's blood on your new foreign shrubs, Squire There's blood on your pointer's feet There's blood on the game you sell Squire There's blood on the game you eat You have sold the labouring man, Squire Body and soul to shame To pay for your seat in the House, Squire To pay for the feed of your game You made him a poacher yourself, Squire When you'd give not the work nor the meat And your barley-fed hares robbed the garden At our starving children's feet Packed into one reeking chamber Man, maid, mother and little ones lay While the rain pattered in on our rotting bride bed And the walls let in the day When we lay in the burnin' fever On the mud of the cold clay floor 'Till you parted us all for three months, Squire At the dreary workhouse door And to kennels and liveried varlets You've cast your daughter's bread And worn out with liquor and harlots Your heir at your feet lies dead When your (youngest is mealy mouthed?) rector Let your soul rot asleep to the grave You will find in your godly protector The free man you fancied your slave Oh, there's blood on your new foreign shrubs, Squire There's blood on your pointer's feet There's blood on the game you sell Squire There's blood on the game you eat
With the economy of Britain at the moment this will become appropriate for the 21st century.
@@johnburns748 It is the anthem of the poor and downtrodden everywhere and everywhen
Here are the lyrics from 1908 - the recording has changed the song slightly and added a chorus. WEDNESFIELD WAKE At Wednesfield at one village wake The cockers all did meet At Billy Lane's, the cock-fighter's, To have a sporting treat. For Charley Marson's spangled cock Was matched to fight a red That came from Will'n'all o'er the fields, And belonged to "Cheeky Ned." Two finer birds in any cock-pit Two never yet was seen. Though the Wednesfield men declared Their cock was sure to win. The cocks fought well, and feathers fled All round about the pit, While blood from both of 'em did flow Yet ne'er un would submit. At last the spangled Wedgefield bird Began to show defeat, When Billy Lane, he up and swore The bird shouldn't be beat; For he would fight the biggest mon That came from Will'n'all town, When on the word, old "Cheeky Ned" Got up and knocked him down. To fight they went like bull-dogs, As it is very well known, Till "Cheeky Ned" seized Billy's thumb, And bit it to the bone. At this the Wednesfield men begun Their comrade's part to take, And never was a fiercer fight Fought at a village wake. They beat the men from Will'n'all town Back to their town again, And long they will remember This Wednesfield wake and main.
Can't find the lyrics for this anywhere :(
Does anyone have the lyrics? Thanks.
We meet today in freedom's cause And raise our voices high; We'll join our hands in union strong To battle or to die. Chorus: Hold the fort for we are coming. Union men, be strong! Side by side we battle onward; Victory will come. Look, my comrades, see the union Banners waving high. Reinforcements now appearing, Victory is nigh. See our numbers still increasing; Hear the bugle blow. By our union we shall triumph Over every foe. Fierce and long the battle rages But we will not fear. Help will come whene'er it's needed. Cheer, my comrades, cheer.

Why oh why is this Album not on CD 🙄
I went digging for samples in a record store and picked up a sealed used copy of this album. This track makes me so glad I did.
Just found a tape I recorded from RadioOne Christmas Day 1981 with this song on it. One of them gems lost in time. Glad it's on RUclips. Thanks for posting!
Hope I do...... AND I DID!!!!!!! lol Thanks SoulproxyLoni
This has a Ramones feelin´!!!
Catchiest dam thing I've ever heard! This LP is terrific!....Just cleaned it yesterday and gave it a spin on the turntable and the vinyl still sounds great! Another dusty gem hiding under the stairs for over 35 years....There is music in life for those that listen....
Over 30 years ago I saw this LP in a cut out bin at Gold Circle for $1. I liked the cover art so I bought it. Bam! What a surprise. Ten, well crafted pop/rock songs that will hold up to anyone's standards. So many hidden gems out there and this was one of them.
Down in the dark where the sun never shines is where humanity Faith will lie.
.....**sniff**..... last song....
omg....cruisin in a 'stang...Airwaves blasting...smokin a dube....life of '77.
Thanks SoulproxyLoni ! Memories of '77
Perfect...But what is the last line of the chorus?

Thank you. That's been bothering me for forty years 😝
You’re welcome
@@SoulproxyLoni Do you know these musicians? If so. PLEASE tell them that this song & "You are the new day" brightened my life for decades! Overjoyed to find it on RUclips! 💓
@@strictlyprickly101 I wish I knew them, I’m just very lucky that my parents bought the LP. Even though they were told it was rubbish! It’s wonderful to listen to and I’m so happy you enjoy it 💜
Guilty pleasure. Got the album as a teenager not having listened to any of the tracks on the radio not knowing who they were. Playing again at 50... something there for everyone on the album. Band from Wales ? on the sleeve..
Huzzah!
