How long will they last before they rot and crack? Any ideas?
🇨🇦 A real Masterpiece. The best one I've seen. I like that you camouflaged the the borders 🍁 Subscribed!
It worked, thanks
Im confused about why you placed the stumps first only to remove them one by one to put dirt in. Would it not have been easier to lay the dirt in the first place?
Excellent job, thank you for the video.
How'd this hold up?
It’s been 3 years since this walkway has been serving me and nothing has happened to it yet. Although sometimes mushrooms grow on it
Thank you for your video... You did a splendid job... I am hoping to do something like this though I am nearly 80 years old and very small woman so not sure if I can manage it all by myself. Of course I will have to get someone to cut the wood slices for me.
are you a deaf mute you don't talk what kind of what kind of a video is this
I'm glad you want to hear my voice)
Tremendo trabajo!!!!!
dude that looks sweet
Love these types of feeders. I'm just curious what those birds are?
If you mean a green bird, then it is a grosbeak
Excellent idea
Really good
Container for holding electric wire or multisocket outside to avoid the rain
Very good
😅😅
Very cool! Does the wood ever rot? How long would it last in the ground like this?
Yes, of course, wood will rot over time. How long this will last depends on the type of wood. It is advisable to choose moisture-resistant wood such as oak
Do you suggest sealing the logs. Also, was that regular dirt or should I use polymer sand? My original plan was to use sand then tree rounds and then fill cracks with river rock
I think it's a good idea. I filled the cracks with ordinary soil so that later grass would grow there
Very nice. I recently (and unfortunately) had to cut out 2 big pine trees. - 12-14 meter long and 40-50 centimer wide. Could it work from pine as well?
I think it is possible, but pine will not be very durable
you need to file your bar the slot is worn
Woodglut plans are awesome!
Cool idea! 👍
Soundtrack(music) is really nauseating. The path, however, is great.
Thanks
Dirt or cement?
I used the soil, it is sandy
I suppose Ash isn’t a good option?
Actually, ash is very alkaline, so it’d take a long time for weeds to emerge. This is because it would jack up the soil PH level...You just can’t grow plants for a few months in or along path.
It was already a birdhouse, you just cut the damn tree down for firewood you silly boy.
Yes it is and I wrote about it in the description of the video. A smart person, I think, would read this description
How do you hollow out the inside? The most important part?
You need a large Forsner bit or spade bit and/or a couple nice sharp chisels.
That hole was done by birds not this fellow. A Forster bit leaves sharp corners and a perfectly round hole, this one has been chipped away by birds using it as a home. This fellow just needed firewood and cut down a bird home.
Woodglut instructions is nice for that.
very interesting and ecological suggestion congratulations on the idea thanks for sharing
thanks for appreciating
What else do you think can be made from old spanners?
What else do you think can be made from empty sealant tubes?
What interesting crafts do you make from wine corks?
Hi, It’s very impressive. How are they in the way of durability, do they hold up for a long time? If I apply them to our walkway: will I observe cracks on them in future?
It is not very durable and depends on the wood chosen
Can you list the bags of materials you used? Do you need to treat the wood at all?
I haven't treated the wood because: - it takes a long time, - it costs money, - I don't want to pollute my soil with chemicals, - there is an opinion that it is ineffective. I used the materials i had in stock: wallnut wood and broken bricks, but it is better to use moisture-resistant wood such as oak and crushed granite.
Thanks, I would do the same :)
@@eco_crafting Hi! I truly enjoyed watching your labor of love. Smile. Beautifully done using resources we already have!!! Quick question... would eucalyptus wood work for a walkway and small garden patio areas. Had 6 trees cut down as planted garden boxes in the area. Previously nothing would grow. Oil from leaves, twigs, bark off eucalyptus prevented. I still have about 25 eucalyptus trees. Just not close to the house where I wanted to place garden. Then you for your input.
Unfortunately I do not know the properties of eucalyptus wood
@@eco_crafting Thank you for a very interesting video clip. I am a straw and clay builder from Sweden considering doing a similar walkway in my garden from oak stumps. However I think about putting clay, perhaps reinforced with similar material you use and on top inbetween the stumps gravel at a smaller size. Also one option would be on top of the stumps to burn them, similar to the japanese Yakisugi technique. Preservation bottom and top since clay preserve materials unlike dirt and soil.
How do you sort waste?
I try to recycle as much as possible and reuse whenever possible this week I made a doghouse with the rest of a wardrobe
How do you decorate your garden?
Have you ever made bird houses?
I have done some.
