(I live in Mayo so not a million miles away) my PB is 28lbs so I'm looking for big-fish waters to try to break my own PB...at 67y.o., time is not on my side !!... 😂 😎👍☘️🍻

The Lough in Cork City is probably the best Carp Fishery in Ireland a lit of people come from France and the UK to fish it.

The carp in Inniscarra lake are near impossible to catch and being honest i dont think ive ever heard of anyone catch one. Im a salmon angler and ive been fishing the river near over 30 years. (By the way ive never went coarse angling in my life) The lake is huge and its a river and can flows of over to 60 cubic metres a second, thats a lot of water. The carp could be anywhere. I really do appreciate the challenge you're taking on and i hope you catch one. Theres no reason though you couldnt pull over a 100lb of fish out of it over the 3 days you were there. I have no doubt youre a good angler and know what youre doing. You spent a lot of money on bait. Next time fish the smaller species. You'll have a ball and by the way you attracted all them fish i bet there will be big pike there as well. Anything that tightens the line is better than having a slack line.
