i was compelled to make this when i listened to @metaphysical8698 's track titled "kodoku (how much humanity do you have left?)". in particular, i liked the "old computer" vibe of both the thumbnail and the song, and i thought i'd try making something that captures that same vibe in my own musical style. my track isn't really similar to kodoku at all, but it's still computer-y, right?
i could've sworn "codecore" was a real musical genre, but google doesn't think so and no one seems to understand the term. so i guess i'm coining it now lmao. this is codecore....

1.16 was the last version with the farlands like this, 1.17 had farlands that looked the same but slightly off because of worldgen changes, 1.18 changed them into ones that antvenom made a video about a few years ago, 1.18.2 made them a wall which they still are today.

sounds really similar in style to what c418 did for minecraft, overall pretty good
when i was first playing around in 5/4 i just made the simple ascending arpeggio to get a feel for it, which happened to sound like the one in the minecraft title screen music. that's probably one reason why it sounds similar.
