Care to share your method for scanning the negatives?
I use Epson v550 flat scanner. If I want hole frame with perforation I just put negatives on the glass without holder.

Hey would this work on the Fuji GX680 iii with the Fuji GX680 remote release (version 1 for the i and ii gen) or do you need the Fuji GX680 Remote Release III
I only did it once with the remote release you could see on video. If the cable fits to the camera it should work because you need just the cable connection...

Man! I love the idea!! I have a question, how may degrees do you rotate the camera to have a perfect frame by frame pano? I have to do the math for an Olympus pen ee3 lens but some advice will be useful
Hi, if you look closely You will see that I don't have the ideal rotation on my pictures. I do only 2 film rolls and have to give back the camera to my friend. My only advice is that you should rotate more that you think you should rotate looking through the viewfinder. Have fun 😊
sztos!
The Fuji GX680III was the pinnacle of SLR - I had 6 in the heyday of the 90's shooting architectural - about 4 years ago long after I gave up film photography I had a chance encounter with one of my old friends at Fuji - I told him I still had a brand new full kit with every lens, accessory and some prototype stuff in my loft and didn't know what to do with it - cut the long story short - it is now on display at Fuji's very own Heritage Department which can be found at House Of Photography Covent Garden London. I am sure you know everything you know about it but if you ever get stuck just holler at me. If you buy any lenses try to get the 'special MD lenses - wider aperture - and not everyone who is selling them knows what they are -- and if you ever find yourself lusting after the incredible 100-200 zoom do not even think of mounting it with out the lens rail which should come with it - if it doesn't buy one separately as it will pull the camera apart at its seams - my studio manager did this - - and if you can, get the even rarer cone shaped square bellows hood, not the standard 'same size at both ends' compendium hood.
Thanks for your advice 👌
I don't care how impractical these things might be. They're so damn cool I can't help but want one.
No wypassss, zdjecie peronu sztosss!!!

Printing your photos is the best way to see **why** you use a camera, film or digital. It makes it so clear why you can just use your cellphone’s camera as your only camera, despite how much Apple might tell you there’s no difference
Hello! We like your art! Can we talk about collab?
Hi, write me a DM on instagram.
I love it ...... thank you
is the video also in grayscale? I think I might be colorblind.
I think your eyes are fine, I recorded everything in flat color profile and did nothing in post-production. But you should take Ishihara test to be sure 😀
Very well done video

Enjoyed this video, really well put together. I've been wanting to get my hands on this camera for years, its cool to see somebody shoot with it. cheers
Hey what is the distance measuring tool that you are using in this video? I just bought a G617, and thought it would be helpful. Thanks for your thoughts!
Hi, I use some kind of laser meter for builders. But mostly I shot on tripod so set the narrowest aperture and use hyperfocal distance on the lens.
Hey what is the distance measuring tool that you are using in this video? I just bought a G617, and thought it would be helpful. Thanks for your thoughts!
How do you line up the images? By sight, like trying to remember where the previous image ended, or do you use markings on the tripod? I always get too much overlap or am missing part of the image. My favorite panorama was the one after you came back, I like the contrast between the dark building thats closer and the lighter one further away.
Hi, I only take 2 rolls of film using Olympus pen. On first, test roll I just look in viewfinder and try to start next picture where ended previous one. But it wasn't enough, I should rotate More. Check my previous videos, there you will see that I have check how much I rotate on the tripod head.
I dont know precise how many degrees I should rotate because I had to give back camera to my friend.
@@cementlife5380 thank you for your reply. That's bad news for me, since I shoot spontaneously without a tripod. That's a great friend you have there. I don't let my friends use my Olympus Pen F. 😂
Great video - and camera. I also have a G617 and I love it! One problem I have is focusing closer than infinity, do you use some sort of laser measuring device to figure out the distance?
yes i do use a laser meter sometimes but i mostly take pictures with a tripod so i try to use a narrow aperture to have a good depth of field.
@@cementlife5380 Greath, thanks!
There are many external rangefinders from Germany... I have the G617 (and a Noblex 150).. but for the 617 I bought a used Watameter from Germany which works great if say you want to focus about 1/3 into the scene it helps... then just check the hyperfocal distance on the lens to assure the important aspects are in focus
My dream camera
Very nice images! I see that you linked Nick's course in the description but can you give a short description of your metering process?
I try to find a part of the scene wich looks like middle gray. Set it on lightmeater. Then measure highlights and shadows and look how many f-stop from meadle gray is it and try to visualize how it will look on the image. If it works in my mind I shoot. I don't have any money from Nick, but his course was a game changer for me and I am very grateful. Maybe in the future i will make a video how i measure the light. Stay tuned 😀
@@cementlife5380 Thanks for your detailed response! Will definitely consider taking the course ;)

It happened to me too. Good video, TY
You do have a good eye. Many of your images are inspiring. I also shoot a PEN F and love the format. I will try shooting a pano like what you show here, great concept. I've always just shot my 1/2 frame in pairs of images, ya know like a diptych. But your pano's are really cool. That shot of the stairs with the red berries, is great.
I love the square format!
hey, very cool imagery! how many degrees do you turn after every picture?
Hi, thanks. Now I don't really remember. I shot only 2 rolls without any tests. Now i see i should rotate a little bit more...
I thought all gas stations were required to be shot on 800T? 😂 I discovered your channel from a search on the Olympus Pen but I am loving these short videos with the 6x17! You do fantastic work!
Thanks for your kind words. If i will find interesting gas station with working lights i will buy cinestill for sure 😀. I'm working on something that will be something similar to my Olympus project but with my Fuji. 😀
Hello, I came across your channel while looking for videos on the Pen F and especially the panoramas.Your videos are very pleasant to watch and inspiring. I have a few questions. If you have time to answer them. Do you redo the light measurement for each shot in the same pano? Regarding the part you build on top of the tripod head, where exactly should the rotation be done? At the center of the lens barrel? Why did you choose this tripod head especially? And last one, how many millimeters do you turn your head pano between each shot ? Thanks a lot. Mathieu
I set light settings once for all shots. I don't really know where exactly rotation should be, there are specific mesaurments but i didn't do it. I jus make it somewhere in the center of the lens. This tripod head was probably the cheapest but it is quite solid. I can't tell how many millimeters i rotate the camera. There are the lines on the tripod head but now I don't really remember how many of them i rotated. You should look through the viewfinder and remeber that you see less than is on the photos ale remember to start making photos from left to right Have fun 😀

your videos inspired me to make a series of such panoramas and print them. With love from Russia
I am very glad, make prints not war😊
@@cementlife5380 @cementlife5380 Greetings, I would like to extend my gratitude for your idea of shooting panoramic images in this way. Your videos have been an inspiration for me to take pictures in this manner for almost a year. To show my appreciation, I would like to send you the original Olympus camera holder. However, I am not sure how to do so. Could you please advise me on how to proceed? Thank you for your attention. Best regards, Alex.
@@AlexFilmPhoto Thank you for your words of appreciation, but the Olymus was borrowed so I don't have it anymore. I would be pleased if you could tell me where I can see your panoramas 😉
Beautiful!
Great photos!
Rewelacja! Czekam na więcej kadrów!
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the new camera, though I really love your half-frame panorama work! You've certainly gotten me interested in creating panoramas, and furthered my interest in general wide-angle photography.
I like that you included the moment where you had to allow someone to pass by you while shooting. Quiet little human moment. The haziness of the first panorama is really attractive to me. The river dominates the image(s), but that city skyline on the right makes it into something spectacular. As you follow the panorama from left-to-right, it's like a story is slowly told, more of the image unveiled. The panorama featuring a cyclist in motion really sells the appeal of the panorama "format." Such an impressive showcase of depth, scale, and geometry. Big fan of your panoramas!
I am very glad you like it. Besides everything it is big fun to make this kinds of panoramas.
Fantastic job inventing your own little mount for the camera to center it on the tripod properly. That second panorama is brilliant. I'll have an Olympus Pen in my hands soon, and I plan to attempt panoramas, but I might need to create my own version of your special mount. Thanks for putting that thought in my head!
Thanks for your comment. It is fantastic that you will have your Olympus pen. Just remind if you would like to make panoramas always start taking pictures from left to right, and that you see less in the viewfinder than will appear on the film so you have to rotate camera a little more. Waiting for your results.
Great camera and nice looking video! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this!
