For me, and I think many others - The dyregulation comes from essentially having a faulty nervous system. after an intense traumatic event, the nervous systems wants to keep us as safe as possible due to the mind -body connection, then unfortunately this keeps us in the trap of anxiety and panic - the faulty re wiring of our nervous system, so any triggers that remotely remind us of the traumatic experience flick that switch on the 'Fight or flight response' when it really does not need to be switched on. so it's like a faulty mechanism and re regulation rather than overflowing, at least for me it was. it certainly does feel like an overflowing cup as you mentioned at times for sure.

helpful: Restoration of the microbiom in the gut: Fermented food, healthy eating (vegetables, Fruits, full corn etc / avoid sugar, white bread) - why? Serotonin may be a factor for anxiety - and it's build 80 % in the gut! / Restore a good relation to nature - and feel that you're connected ! / Meditation and learn to breathe deeply - so one can calm and easily come down from a beginning anxiety attack... / daily walk / good sleeping behavior (if possible) / learn the regulation of the nervous system... downsizing of stress hormones, especially long term stress cortisol...

Did cognitive behavioural therapy help? If not what helped you. I suffer horribly from ptsd, depression and anxiety. I am sending you so much love and healing vibes. Thank you for being so brave and open about your struggles. You are helping a lot of people recognize they need help too and not to be ashamed. God bless you Kiddo ❤❤❤

This is beyond dangerous. Exposure therapy doesnt just work for everyone. In some, if not half of cases its important to have a proffesionel therapist involved BEFORE trying exposure therapy, any person woth even basic psycology knowledge knows this

@@magnusdavies You can't disagree with the fact that everyone can't be cured with the same therapy 😂 That's like disagreeing to "Humans need Oxygen to survive" or "Humans can't survive long without their vital organs" Any type of therapy works for some. But you can't just start out by exposing yourself to the stuff haunting you, and some people can't even do exposure therapy, since it would be considered quite illegal 😪

Mindfulness was a huge help for me. Thanks for these tips as well. Books like 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels and the Tao Te Ching were cool resources I benefited from. Anxiety loves to fight and struggle, so I find that being still and silent during an attack helps a great deal.

These “uncontrollables” are what’s fuelled the anxiety and depression in the first place. External factors cause real issues to peoples life, there’s only so much focusing on yourself you can do. People have genuine concern and anxiety about things they can’t control. Your approach sounds very individualistic and dismissive of these external factors, simply calling them uncontrollables isn’t good enough.
