Wait what? It says in the maintenance schedule that valve adjustment should be done at 20,000 miles. You stated in the video 16,000 km?
@teddysurf Hi, I realized that when I went in for service. I'm actually taking it in for the 32,000 km service next week and they are doing that to the bike as well as changing my front tire (there's a recent video on that).
@@tridentyyz1031 you you scared me…lol I had a Husqvarna Vitpilen for a year and had to do 2 valve adjustments on it, which was just a horrible pain in the butt. The next bike I purchased which is the trident, I made sure I wouldn’t have to do it for a while and then I saw your video and got nervous lol.
The quality of your video appeared to be bordering on 3D a few times. Care to help me out on how I might be able to produce something similar?
@@sonnybowman I think it is the technology of the equipment that is making me look good. I upgraded my GoPro this summer as well as my drone. Both offer 4K recording.
Dublin is NOT in the UK, it's the Republic of Ireland.
Thanks for your comment, however, I said that I had not been to the UK in 30 years, which was when I visited England and Wales.
You didn't visit the UK.....don't deny centuries of struggle for partial independence from English subjugation and terror ..... remember that 6 counties of Ireland 🇮🇪 are still occupied by the English and their minion Planter Allies
Thanks for your comment, however, I said that I had not been to the UK in 30 years, which was when I visited England and Wales.
All plastic and helmets.
Keep going 💪
Glad to see me shoes there on 3:51 xD
Those are some nice bikes.
woah that's an awesome view !
Keep going ❤❤
What is your mileage now?
I am just over 25,000 kms.
@@tridentyyz1031 any issues? Thinking on getting one.
@trailrider1980 It was one of the first year bikes so it had a recall on a very small hose and a small air intake, which was fixed for free and the bike is better now. Other than that nothing other than regular maintenance and the heated grips which were fixed under warranty and work great now.
@@tridentyyz1031 looking around in youtube I can see that for the most part it is very reliable. I love the looks.
what you think trident as first bike?
I think it is a great first bike.
Hi. Are you able to change the speedo to MPH from kmh?
Yes.
Is trident 660 good for a 6 feet guy
Hi, I'm 6 feet tall and I have no issues with the bike.
@tridentyyz1031 I am also planning to buy this bike. And think this bike is the best as I am just 18 years old.
@devanshsarangpani2083 it's a lot of fun once you get out of the City, but also great in traffic due to its size and agility.
Thanks for sharing….too bad less and less vendor participation now
Pre pandemic, Ducati didn't really have much, but Kawasaki and BMW did. Not sure why Kawasaki has passed on it last year and this year, but I think BMW has changed direction and is using their ride days as a selling tool.
I think I had noticed Kawi being mia a few times pre pandemic also. Let’s hope all this doesn’t start a landslide, as one thing leads to next. Suzuki seems pretty strong at the moment with many new models and derivatives on the floor. Couldn’t make it there this year, hopefully next year !!
valve check in the manual in 20,000 miles.
It's the 32,000 km service in Canada when they do that, I had asked about it when they did the 16,000 km service earlier this year.
Thank you TridentYYZ. Your comment helped me to understand more on the Trident660 after a year and a half of use. I am eyeing on the Trident 660 bike as apart from the form (design) factor and power, I believe it is right for me.
Great video 😊😊nice bikes 😍😍😍I can't wait for the motorcycle show next month 😀😊

Awesome 👍👍
Hey, can i update 2021 model ?
a year and a half. NO MODS??? wow. i've had my bike for 2 weeks and ordered the quick shifter. Planning on getting the triumph bar end mirrors. And a few other minor things.
Mods, a funny thing. I got/bought the bike without seeing it when it first came out. Went on Triumph's website and loaded the bike up with mods. Then began stripping them off. Bike shifts fine due to the slipper clutch, so I felt no need for the quick shifter. As for bar end mirrors..... maybe at a later date, as I can see around myself with the stock ones.
@@tridentyyz1031 i was going to order the bluetooth module first but my dealer convinced me to go with quick shifter .the bike shifts flawlessly stock but after reading every review and youtube i can find, everyone has the quick shifter, everyone says its a game changer, everyone loves it, as my dealer told me. im very excited to not have to use the clutch so many times on a trip. you can still use of course, and its obviously necessary at red lights, first gear scenarios, but to be able to quickly shift up or down and hear the throttle blips quickly and easily and less left hand manipulation with my RA....i think its going to be awesome. my bike right now is getting its first service (the 600 mile service) and the quick shift. should get back any day now.
cruisin !
That was empty allright !!!
Yeah, it was great, but I had to watch out for oil in the corners that cars bottom out in.
@@tridentyyz1031 for sure
Thanks for posting the video. The software update is trash. I have noticed a lot of issues. There are words in capital letters like Trip Setup, fuel status etc. I could never change the default bluetooth name. Trident refuse to identify already paired devices like my phone or gopro.
In my case, before and after an update, I never saw the calls tray. The navigation also stopped working months ago. The software is complete trash.
Try this, I found that each time they do an update, it resets the visible trays and that the trays that are commonly used, such as navigation need to be turned back on and that they are at the bottom of the visible tray list.
@@tridentyyz1031Well mine had them enabled. I found a 'solution'. I went back to version 1.2.7 of the My Triumph app and navigation works again. Something is broken with the latest update from June and they won't fix it. I still can't see the calls tray. Haven't been able since I got the bike. It used to randomly appear and now it never does.
2 years for me, love riding the canyon twisties in the Rockies as often as I can. I agree with the seat comments, 2 hours max. No issues with my heated grips, working fine. I think the street triple is next for me, though I wish it had the round headlight.
I concur with the critique of the Street Triple, I was never keen on the front end of the bike, but the rest of it looks great!
i like the round headlight which is why this bike appeals to me more than yamaha mt07
@@championx1 definitely
Nice, thanks for the update! 😁
You're welcome.
Hi. Great review, enjoyed that. Just to let you know, the heated grips are a software issue, I had the same problem. Mine went at the same time as yours!
Thanks, I'm taking it in for a service next Saturday, so hopefully the problem will be fixed.
after my 1st service , nothing but problems. i am getting light faults on a new bike. what the hell?!! seriously though, Its frustrating.
Take it to the dealer, which you probably have done, and have them plug it in again and make sure they rebooted it correctly. Last update they did when I had an oil change, the technician didn't do something when he had plugged in the bike and the blue tooth module did not work. I had to turn around and go back to them to get it working again.
I have been calling thr dealer every 3-4days. No one has called me back. I then contacted them via Facebook and the guy said we will talk soon. Its been almost a week since that. Im not a happy camper. The bike is great . My ass hurts after about 40 min.
Going on a year on my Trident, and I can attest to the seat discomfort. Fear not though as the foam does in fact wear in and will comfie up after about 5k or so miles. I would totally splurge on the corbin had I the extra bux however. Cant speak more highly on this bike, love mine to death!
I just ordered my seat cover from sahara seats with a gel pad. Its like 75 for the cover and 22 for the gel pad. something like that. free shipping. I've had bikes with worst seating than the trident so to me the trident seat is awesome. I mainly wanted to protect the stock seat. I added gel for even more cushion.
@@championx1 link me if you can? Thats awesome, the weird seat materialis beginning to wear on the edges of mine, ima need a cover come next season!
@AllboroLCD fyi i had difficulty ordering due to both my banks flagging purchase for fraud. My main bank tried multiple times after approving purchase and just couldnt get to work. My other bankworked with website. Asks you to open bank app of mine and approve and then proceed and that worked well. I felt like the transaction was secure and confident in purchase. Seems like a legit business. I first saw the seat on halo halo rider youtube he has a whole video on install. He got brown leather. I chose black leather with black stitching
@AllboroLCD there is an italian company making seats also but to me they dont fit the style of the trident as well as sahara. There seat works better on a sport bike. And also they cost 300 i think. The sahara for its exteemely inexpensive amount seems like a no brainer for protection and added style. Should be getting within a week or two from india
do you rev it high and what mileage do you get by driving the way you do? also, have you ridden its competition namely, MT 07, SV 650, CB 650 R and what do you think about them?
I don't rev it high, and the mileage depends on what I am doing. For commuting in daily traffic, probably around 5L per 100km. Out for a ride in the country its closer to 4L per 100km. I never tried the competition as I bought the bike during the pandemic. I like the look of the Trident over all of those other bikes as it has a classic front and a sporty back.
@@tridentyyz1031 ah! That's great mileage isn't it? imo too, it's the best looking bike among its competition. have fun mate.
Hola cómo estás me ayudas por favor, no le prende el tablero ao moto ni enciende es modelo 2023
El mío era modelo 2015. ¿Comprobaste si las conexiones de la batería están apretadas? o si el fusible no está quemado?
Great video! In my mid 20’s I drove through the Hockley Valley twice a day when I was living in Orangeville and working at the Honda plant in Alliston. I’m 40 now, living in Halifax, and will be picking up my new Trident in 3 weeks time. Was really cool to watch my new bike taking a trip through my old commute. I remember every turn. And passing zone. Where was the second part of the video filmed? After the cut... Felt familiar but I couldn’t place it. If you’re out in the area again with your go pro I’d love to see a trip through the twisties by the Caledon Ski Club and then down the Forks of the Credit Sideroad.
I will honestly have to say that I was just following the bike in front of me. After leaving the Hockley General Store, we were winding our way up to Collingwood were we had lunch. Forks is now heavily patrolled by police. Congratulations on the new bike, lots of twists and turns in Nova Scotia to let it loose on.
Thank you for making this video. I just bought a pair of Falco "Rooster" boots and the "Patrol" will be my next, presuming the Rooster do well. That sucks about the soles wearing through, and I'm curious how they (the soles) are holding up other than those holes. A big reason I opted for the Rooster was because of the Goodyear welted soles, and I seldom buy MC boots with a glued on sole. Because you get so much use out of your Patrol with riding, teaching, and walking, I wanted to ask because you're definitely giving them more use than the average rider. Any separation of the sole anywhere along where they're glued to the base/leather? Thank you in advance, and thanks again for the video - love how the black looks after six months, btw! ✌🤘
Thank you for your question. I ride during the winter when the streets are dry, so I've done some riding. The first teaching session for me is next weekend. The boots are still the same as they were when I did the video, so no more separation on the sole.
@@tridentyyz1031 Thank you for replying. I definitely love the look of the Patrol, and will wait to see how the Roosters do before buying a second set from Falco. One thing that I don't like is that so many brands are moving to zippers or dual lace/zipper combos. I think zippers are a potential fail-point, so do have some concerns (yet another reason I like your Patrol). Thanks again.
Thanks for doing a review, I'm thinking of getting a pair so I appreciate the info. Bummer about the heels wearing off in the corners but I have the same issue with the boots I wear at work (UPS driver). Any brand - Lowas, Oboz, Ecco, doesn't matter. I have to throw them away after about 6 months despite the boot itself still having tons of life left in them. The angle on the heel wear gets worse and worse to the point that it feels like I'm walking on the outside of my feet. The point I'm making is I really wouldn't fault Falco for this. These Patrol boots remind me of an Ecco boot, with the look and construction. It sounds like you're pretty happy with them overall and I won't do nearly as much walking as you do when I'm out riding. I also have the Falco Ace and have had good luck with those so far. Cheers.
Triumph's own heated grips are rubbish, over here in the UK Oxford heated grips are the one's to go for and far cheaper
Well, the jury is still out on my end as the initial product was faulty (according to the dealer) and there are comments saying it might be the software. At some point (it keeps snowing here) I'll get them changed under warranty and I'll see how the new ones are.
Can't wait to get one myself.
Finally got one.
@@ruahinesrider i need to wait 3 year to get myself 1.
nice video guy --- thanks. I also have a '22 trident. I would suggest a radiator guard if you are planning to keep your trident. Also, since you mentioned it as have others, I have a Corbin seat on my bike. Takes care of your ass. Good luck!
Correct, a radiator is a must.
I've heard that after 600 miles, if you get the thing updated by dealer, the performance is better. Is this true?
The bike comes out of its "break-in" period at that time and the rev warnings stop, so the bike runs better. As for the first service, a common complaint which is fixed, was that the temperature gauge/tray was always showing the bike as running hot.
No
Bro I was so disappointed here in montreal, Kawasaki and Royal Enfield didn't even show up.
RE was in Toronto, it was Kawasaki and BMW that were absent and Ducati came in through a dealer (GP Bikes).
Oh man, bruh, I went there today, It’s what a shit show, I was looking for Kawasaki ZX-4rr and there wasn’t even booth for Kawasaki.
Hey trident brother. Thanks for the video. my handgrips sucks to i can't feel any difference between the hi, medium, low settings. Though maybe the stock was crap. But sounds like a common issue. Do you really need a new one or just a software update. Cheers from 🇸🇪
The dealer spent over an hour looking at the problem and the solution was new grips. It was under warranty so I'm alright with that.
@@tridentyyz1031 okay thanks for your reply
your frot tire treads are the wrong way man look for your rotation on your front tire
I thought that as well about a year ago, but they are not.
😁
No they are not. The forces on the front tire are backwards of the rear. Therefore you run it backwards to the rear
According to my dealer, heated grips issue was caused by software malfunction. Ask your dealer to update your bike SW. Good video, thanks!
They checked that in October before they disconnected the grips and put in the warranty approval from Triumph. When they did that update, that was when I stopped getting notifications in the tray. I did a video on that as well.
It is a software related issue. They have to rollback to one that works fine with the grips.
@@JaymzSimthey changed the grips out under warranty back in June when I took it in for service. I have used the new ones several times and they work great.😊
Thanks for sharing. Great video.

Bruh your voice is so much like Daniel Wormald from breaking Bad, portrayed by Mark Proksch
Do you like the bluetooth module? I got mine but havent been to the dealer to get it activated.
Yes, it works well. I like the navigation that is on it.
Hey Warren! I remember a couple issues with the TFT. I wonder if they were fixed in your update. One was something about 12:00 hours or maybe 1300 hours being the date switch time? The other was my name was never able to be programmed on the display.
I never had an issue with the time, and even though you can put your name on the bike, it doesn't come up on start up like the Tiger does.
@@tridentyyz1031 haha! They all did. The known issue was that the 12:00 did not change from AM to PM. It happens at 1:00Pm instead!
@@martyshmanka they may have fixed that, i don't notice it as I have not been on my bike at that time recently. I'll check tomorrow. I do remember on the initial release the temp gauge was reading hot all the time, they fixed that with the first update.
