Thank you so much. I used to see them at the Ice House in Pasadena. I wish there was a video of them performing this song (and so many others) What a wonderful, unique band and such sweet guys.
i still have a vinyl copy of "Bricks" - i'm not certain i ever listened more than once to any other song on it, but Mad Red Ant Lady was a song i used to enjoy playing for unsuspecting friends, who upon hearing it usually had some kind of confused or unsettling reaction! 8-)
Now THIS is how I remember them doing this song! (except it usually ran a LOT longer on concert...)What a hoot-- and 75 was the last year I saw them perform. Man what great memories of a great band.

I know the title of this video says it's "Mad Red Ant Lady", but the song that plays is "Dinosaur" (from the same album, "Bricks").

...and then...and then....! As usual B I like the weirdness :-) I see Todd Rundgren produced. You could hear that in the harmonies. Nicely bizarre!
I've got "Handsome Devils" on vinyl. I'd love to get a rip of what you've got. Let's get in touch, eh? Contact me. Check my user profile for my rips.
The very best Mad Red Aunt Ladys were live improvs. I wish I had any of those!
Now THAT brings back some memories. Thanks!
