Clutch tutorial and just riding around
Просмотров 6422 месяца назад
had a comment about smooth clutch riding. so I decided to give my personal experience with how I ride the clutch. not a super in depth video about the clutch. but I ain't a expert. I just know how to ride. I hope this helps anybody trying to learn to ride and also helps anybody learn how to smoothly let out the clutch with ease. thanks for watching. #mt07life #Yoshimura #tstindustries

Finally got a chance to get back out on the '22 MT07 for a little bit today. Had to run down to the store. Nothing crazy. There was too much traffic to have any fun. But it's always a great time to get out and just open the throttle up. Just a good chance to catch yall up on the past few days.

Come take a POV short trip on the MT07
Great video .Happy birthday and I hope your son (Aka Karate Master) enjoys his new school.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Sure do enjoy these videos. Thank you for continuing to showcase your MT07 - I pretyt sure mine is setup exactly as yours but you have more experience than I do. Been a great bike for me.
It's so much fun and nimble to whip around if you want. It's a blast.
Sound was rough on this one. Love seeing the MT07 on the road
Little windy day. And I think i got a little water in my media mod. But I'm not sure.
As soon as I started watching your video I was like... Is that a military housing community? Then you mentioned SLC, I was like... YEP.
Funny though it's not on post. Lmao.
Wow, that is just a bit intimidating.
It's not really all that bad.
Thank you for your service DI it’s weird hearing a DI with a voice
It's comes back about mid cycle. Then goes away again at the start of the new one.
@@generationoutdoors lol
Everyone must have been shocked seeing a bike driving itself!
Only thing they could see was the black gloves and helmet floating in the wind above it. 🤣
What branch are you in? I'm prior Air Force.
Army. Just living that military life, you already know how it goes lmao. Currently a drill.
really like this kind of vid, just vibin on the road
Yeah me out here listening to barbie girl and all that good stuff. Vibin out. Lol
Your rev matching is just superb 🫡
I appreciate it. Just takes time to find that spot. Once you find it, then it's super easy.
@generationoutdoors I'm still working on mine ...it's like a mental block for me.. I'm so used to my slipper clutch
@easye1311 you will get there. Just a matter of time. It took me a bit to find it. But once you do it will be smooth. I still occasionally get one of those downshift where the RPMS aren't at that perfect point but mostly got it all to an art now.
Great to see a new video. Was that the wind in the background? Hope everything is going well with you.
Yeah no mic in helmet for this one. All wind on the highway chasing the storm and running from it.
So this is a really newbie question but how do you ride with only one hand on the bars. I have been trying but haven't been successful - love your videos and that bike
It's actually really easy. I don't have cruise control or anything but my throttle is super smooth so it's easy to control the throttle and just cruise. Idk just something I got use to.
Def enjoyed this. Looking forward to your next upload
Just gotta find more time.
I hope I can get as good as you with that throttle and shifting on my MT07 and man do I love that exhaust note.
Just takes practice. And yeah the yoshi hits different.
Love leaving that turn signal on! Hahaha
Gets me all the time.
All black top man. Brazil.
Like from Brazil.
Good stuff man!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Great video. I have just purchased the MT 07 and I'm also a little nervous of the torque. I don't want it running off and leaving me sitting on the road. Do you have any tips for keeping the front wheel firmly on the road surface? Is it just to be easy on the throttle?
Yes it is. Using the clutch friction zone while easing into the throttle. Now be mindful of the power the bike has. Cause it will try to pull up. But as long you know how to use a clutch and understand that friction zone then you will be good to go. Like I was saying. Get on it and don't ride. Just play with the clutch in 1st gear. Find that zone then once it starts pulling add just a bit if throttle to start a good roll then pull clutch in and let off the throttle at the same time.
I have the same bike. MSF course is this weekend. MT07 has me nervous to ride knowing the torque. I have been riding a tw200 to train on but still worried about this transition.
Don't be. As long as you have clutch and throttle control, it will all be fine. This bike is super fun to ride, and it's got enough power to play with. Be smooth on the clutch and throttle, and you will be golden.
Appreciate this you are a natural teacher,😂😂 i did the basic msf course, my problem is sometimes I let the clutch out too fast, but I'm getting better each time
You will eventually find that happy spot. Took me a bit. But it is always a learning curve.
Dude just subscribed to. Your channel. you're so good at smooth starts . Can you do a video on how not to stall? I ride a cfmoto 300nk
I'll see if ill be able too. Thank you. I'm subscribing back. It's honestly just about practice.
@@generationoutdoors exactly.. thank you
Nice, is that the stock exhaust?
No Im pretty sure its not, The Stock exhaust sounds like a vacuum cleaner 😄
Nah it ain't stock one. It's the yoshi r77
Definitely love that MT07. - I have mine and going through training currently so I can be a more proficient rider - hopefully the end of this month I will be out on mine free as a bird
I have the advanced riders course this month. So I'll be able to get more proficient. But I love this bike so much. Now that hurricane is pushing through where I'm close to, so a whole mess of rain is coming my way. So, no riding for a while.
Hey bro are those the Copper gloves from Alpinestars, if yes do you like/recommend them? Thanks
They won't offer very much protection. But they are super comfortable on the hands and breath very well.
just got my '24 a couple weeks ago. incredible machine
I love this thing
I miss riding so much. I wanna get a new bike by the end of the year you got a sub from me
I'm currently missing riding too being in the school. I can't ride for about 5 more weeks.
What go pro and mount are you running?
Just a hero 9 with a media mod and a chin mount from well chin mounts.
whats your gopro and audio setup? sounds great!
Gopro hero 9 with media mod. And a panda lav mic ran into my helmet. Running the chinmounts mount.
@@generationoutdoors i thought the media mod doesn’t support 3rd party external audio?
love that CP2 sound
It's so deep and throaty. The yoshi exhaust just elevates it to another level. I love the down shifts. The hard pulls. I love it all. This bike is amazing.
Sounds great! What exhaust do you have? I have a 22' MT07 as well, and I'm looking to replace the stock pipes finally. Did you end up mailing in your ECU for a tune, too?
I'm running the Yoshimura R77 carbon. And no I didn't. I don't have any issues. The occasional pops and bangs but no issues with it. I have had it serviced with the exhaust and they didn't say anything about it either. But they make items now to adjust your own Air Fuel mixture too. I'll eventually do that when I change out the stock air filter.
Nice sound, nice image, and nice bike. What cam do you use?
Go pro hero 9. I honestly just started pulling videos for the best setting in pro tune to run for a clearer picture. And also run a ND filter so I have the hyper boost stabilizer turned off. If it's on the video gets real shaky for some reason.
helping each other out is the name of the game, great ride! I need to do more commentary in my videos.
Get it going. That's all you can do.
any tips for people wanting to learn more about bikes?
Try to talk to somebody that has one and might he willing to teach you. Get out and get signed up for the Basic Riders Course. They will teach you everything about a motorcycle from one that runs in fuel injection to a carburetor. They will teach you how to use the clutch and how to properly ride. If you want some more learning curves on a clutch before going to the course then I suggest try to get with somebody you know or something and get on a small dirt bike with a clutch. Something that ain't git much power so if you do whisky throttle the results with be as bad as one with some decent power to prevent you injuring yourself.
Great short video! how do you manage to cancel/reduce the wind noise?
Just the media mod on the gopro. Nothing else.
do some crazy ride and get those rpm up and some crazy down shift
I gotcha. I'll see what I can make happen.
I don't know if I'd fit on an 07 at 6'4. I test rode an MT10 last season and it was insane but have heard too many bad things about gas mileage on it, everyone suggested an 07 instead.
Try to get out and sit on one. I'm roughly 5'10. I love this bike.
I am 6'4 and ride one - I look huge compared to it but it is comfortable
is it hard to replace the exhaust pipe?
Not At all if you have the tools required. Proper size sockets and all that. I did the full yoshi by myself within about an hour and a half. Super simple. RUclips is your friend with it.
@@generationoutdoors did you tune your bike after the exhaust was replaced?
@BeardedOutdoorAdventures I didn't. I thought I would need to but the bike still runs perfect. A couple pops and bangs on the down shifts. But nothing major.
im here, watching this guy take a night ride when i could be out on the bike i bought literally earlier today.... good times
Night rides aren't bad. But you gotta he I'm a bigger city to see anything on camera and on person really. I just love to go for a ride as much as I can. Going again today.
@@generationoutdoors nah, video is good fr, im just saying i was watching riding videos instead of going on a night ride myself
That cluster looks so good. I’ve been thinking of getting a wind screen for mine, is it a big difference? Because the wind on the highway is brutal lol
If you go for more of the looks of the bike the puig I have doesn't do very much. They make some taller ones I'm sure would work better.
I'm jealous of your exhaust I got the akrapovic underslung one & hate it.
I was close to getting it. But that Yoshi just hits.
Sweet first motovlog!
Thanks. Gotta get the new battery in and get this rain away to get back out there.
Nice ridin Drill sarnt. I'm getting tired of these upstate roads! Must be better down in Columbia. I went to meps at Ft Jackson some years back. Stay safe out there
You as well. And roads are roads to me. I just love to ride.
This is pure 2024 ?
2022 mt07 shot in 2024
Excellent choice of bike 😍
Thanks.
Im thinking of buying my 1st bike soon and got my eyes on the MT07, seems to be highly recommended. wanted to see if you also recomend. The only thing is I am a big boi. Im 6.2 and about 285 punds. would that be an issue?
You are going to feel big on this bike. Me on it I'm 5'2" and 178. This is my first street bike. Biggest thing is to go sit on one in a dealership and get a good feel for it. At the end if the day it's really all about what you want and what you are comfortable with.
You might be better off with the tracer 7. Effectively the same bike but with a taller riding position & more bodywork so you won't look so massive on it.👍
what windscreen is that?
Puig new generation sport windscreen.
That bike is honestly a diamond in the rough. Got that as my first bike and the potential it has is so fricken amazing man. Yours sounds like a beaut!! Ride safe bro and keep on keeping on.
I appreciate it man. That yoshi exhaust is amazing. I love it and I love this bike.
Good to hear man. Whats the full name of the exhaust if you don’t mind me asking
@iamziim Yoshimura R77 carbon exhaust. I'll get a walk around the bike done maybe sometime this week if I can.
@@generationoutdoors thank you very much sir I appreciate that
Looks like your forearms are in the way of the mirrors.
That's just from the video I look down and can see fine.
What are those mirrors?
Just some cheap ones off Amazon. They vibrate like crazy at 50mph plus. But I bought Rhino moto bar end adapters for em to go on.
