Always use stainless steel bowls for your pets. Never use plastic and even avoid porcelain. They have lots of little scratches and nicks for bacteria to hide in. Also, wash their bowls at least every other day with anti-bacterial soap. Put the dishes on a steel tray that can also be washed regularly.

For my late cat it was plastic mats that caused acne. We found out because she used to take the food out of the ceramic/stainless bowls and eat off the floor. Used a plastic mat to keep the floor clean and acne within a couple of days. I know it’s wasteful but we had to use paper bowls and plates to prevent whisker fatigue and acne.

This is unnecessary. There is medicated soap that clears the acne very quickly.

How does cat get that? I'm curious bc I'll get a cat soon, and I have to know. Please tell my 🙏🏻🥺

I think I’m this cat, it is probably good allergy. 1. It’s near mouth 2. It’s not because of dirt because your home looks very clean and she dosent go outside to get dirty 3. Food allergy is often the cause of acne in adults and pets. You are a great owner. I wanted to tell you that instead of a cone, to prevent scratching you can get a stuffed cloth donut that is more comfortable to prevent her from scratching the face.

I put coconut oil on my cats outbreak. The following day they came off easily by hand. Less traumatizing. In fact when a new spot popped up, she'd come to me.

I am a hoomin who gets acne under my hair sometimes and it’s uniquely awful. The primal instinct to scratch is truly overwhelming. Poor kitteh.

We use ceramic bowls and one of my 11 year old boys still has acne.

Poor thing it’s caught on her hair dodo bird you need to use a solution to soften the scabs first and shave the area down to the best of your ability and it won’t hurt NEARLY as much you can tell that hurts her everytime you tried to tug

My cat has two of these right now; one on his front right paw, one on his rear right paw. I'm stressing out so badly due to the threat of infection and other complications. I can't trim it, because he and his brother were basically feral before we adopted them when they were young, and we were never able to get them used to letting us trim their claws properly. :(
