My world is beautiful and exquisite, and I welcome you to step into it.
I am deeply moved by the tender femininity and the universal beauty of the female figure, and I am constantly looking to express its ethereal and poetical essence. I don't paint portraits. I paint emotions, that have a face.
When I create, two things are most important to me: finding the feeling, that I want to embed in the canvas, and telling the story of it. What makes my art special is I weave those little pieces of my heart in the painting, and even when the creative process is done, the deep connection that I've built with the painting is there for you to explore and enjoy.
I have no claim on the seriousness that often accompanies art. My only desire is for the process to be joyful, a true self discovery, full of elan, meaning, growth and satisfaction.

Art Commissions I How I create them I My largest figurative commission so far
What are art commissions and how I create them, is the subject of today's video. I am giving you an example with a recent commission, a painting that I did for an elegant new home.
My definition of an art commission: those are the paintings I create for a specific occasion like anniversary, new home, birthday, wedding or for a specific premise (home or office), as requested by a client.

Oil :) There is only a layer of beige acrylic over the gesso, then oil paints.

Thank you for your comment. Sorry for the focus-defocus problem - I obviously forgot to lock my focus and got messy. I am still learning how to be a studio cinematographer :)

Why do so many 'RUclips' painting videos have to feature beautiful young women (when 'modern in style': women and still lives when 'antiquated')? Is eye candy the only thing worth painting? Are there no other legitimate subjects?

This looks lovely. It's so interesting how your style has a loose and expressive feel, yet still looks refined. Full of texture and motion. Love it :o)
Thank you so much! :) I enjoy painting with both a palette knife and different kind of brushes and the result is a wide variety of brushstrokes and textures. And looseness is something that I'm still trying to achieve, so I study a lot of contemporary and more classical artists and gather inspiration from them.

I know, right? :) I didn't realise while filming I had not locked the focus and later I saw it was a bit of a mess :) I'm still relatively new to filming and video editing, so there is much room to improve :)
