BNSF 2437 at 1:10 is from the Kismet Train Collision
Huh, I'm wondering If those B40-8 and B40-8Ws are for the scrapper I didn't see any papers on the windows like you mentioned on other locos.
As of a few months ago they got shipped up north for scrap.
I helped build that yard back in 91-92.
If someone ever tells you what's more rare than a heritage unit, show them this video 0:22
I wonder how fixable all of them are with parts of others in the dead line Saw 573 in Logan County Ohio on the fifteenth don't know if she headed back but she sure moves
GREAT..
Some of these, including the bluebonnet B40-8s, are currently on their way to St. Louis, MO to go to MEI (Metro East Industries).
i heard, i went out to see them in the BNSF Alliance yard yesterday. Sad to see they’re finally getting the torch
Great video
thank you
ARE THOSE SWITHERS AND SLUG UNITS STILL THERE,I LOVE THOSE THINGS MY BUDDY WORKS FOR THEM AND HATES BNSF.
they should be

6/8/22 BNSF 6326 & 1553 are in Stockton, because JoeyTrainz22’s recent video showed them along with a ATSF slug, not really sure.
Good to know! Seems like a lot of the deadline’s power has been moved around the system recently
@@ANormalRailfan103 yep! Someone said the SD9 might be preserved and the 6326 might go to a secret yard, although I could be mistaken (6326 won’t be scrapped)
I hope that out of all the locos that they would save The 577 and the warbonnet
Agreed
Great catches Connor! I believe that I saw that same BN caboose a couple years ago in Ardmore Oklahoma. Also that other commenter is on something 😂💀
No kidding, I’m confused beyond belief 💀💀
That’s cool you caught the BN too!
@@ANormalRailfan103 haha no doubt about that. I wish I got comments that funny lol
Great video Connor!!
Thanks man!

Is anything there still?
It’s been there for awhile, i doubt they’re going anywhere soon. Get pictures while they’re there though, who knows how much longer they have.
I know those two Santa Fe numbers at 5:14
2437 was in the crash one time
Outstanding video! Great day!
Great video! Good memories!
Awesome footage! Liking the "race" at 3:52
Thanks, I’m really happy with how the footage came out!

@@ANormalRailfan103 I have church there on Sundays at 9:30 AM, consider coming
Shame to see all those locos in the deadline. Luckily plenty of GP30 rebuilds survive with that classic cab, and an SDP40 resides up in Minnesota where I am. It's really those Dash 8's that need saving. Shame to see all those Executive MACS in storage, about half the SD70MAC fleet numbering nearly 800 units are scrapped or stored. Luckily the other half are still earning their keep across the system!
Bnsf 563 needs to be saved.
I have a sad feeling that all warbonnet locomotives are gonna be extinct after 2030...
Something about these clips seem familiar. Hmmmmmm
🤔
Really nice and great video!!! Well done!!
Thank you!
Here in Galveston now what road is this on
Harborside Dr.
We should start a protest or start a petition to save these locos for museums, heritage railroads and smaller railroads
Awesome video!
Thank you!
They should have a deal of some sort where 10% of all locomotives can be donated to a museum, or a small railroad, and the other 90% bnsf can do whatever they want with the rest. The percentages can vary, but this is what I thought of. I'm really sad that the inevitable fate of these beautiful locomotives is the scrapyard.
Awesome catches!
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
This is what BNSF does to old locomotives
It is what BNSF does with old locomotives.
Only known B40-8 left in service is BNSF 570. Built in 1988 and she's still putting in work 33 years later!
I followed that unit closely, it was just recently retired :(
@@ANormalRailfan103 aw man, that's sad to hear. At least she served for over 30 years. The fact that they stayed in service as long as they did is a testament to how great these little 4 axle GE units are!
The Minnesota Comercial owns a lot of ATSF units
That’s cool!
I had wondered what happened to the only SF30B to come out of the Cleburne shops. Found out Minnesota Commercial has it now as MNNR 42,

1:09 2437 was a survivor of the Kismet Train Collision.
I didn’t know that, that’s awesome!
How many other yard slugs do they have?
I saw 3 for sure, there may have been more that were inaccessible.
Both 2134 and 2138 shouldn't be there, any shortline in the USA could make good use of them. I saw 2138 when it still had the BN logo intact on the Camas Prairie Railroad in '97-'98, sad to see it here.
1:56 *OMG IS THAT A SDP45!!!* I thought they were all scrapped besides the erie lakawanna sdp45
Close, It’s a SDP40! BNSF did some internal rebuilds, so it’s classified as a SD40u, but the exterior remains the same as it did as a SDP40.
@@ANormalRailfan103 didn't they have steam heaters?
@@santafewarbonnetproductions I’m pretty sure they did, I think that’s where the extra length came from. They removed it in the rebuild process though.
poor locomotives its always sad to see this happen
For sure :(
That 6 axle slug was wild, never seen one before, all the executive bn vomits there too, same with the sd75i, I drive there weekly and I haven’t ever went to se that yard
It’s really a sight to see, check it out if you can!
