rapid tests are not accurate past 15 minutes yet the staff often don't check the results of staff or caregivers exactly after 15 minutes. Staff is no longer cohorted to floor so the whole building gets in outbreak unecessarily and this negatively impacts residents and the PPE everyone has to wear. My mom's home Bendale only posted resident affected numbers but not staff or caregiver infected numbers. This does not give a clear and transparent view of the infected numbers. Staff can still infect other staff if allowed to go up to the floor. Visitors have so often been restricted when staff is the major spreader of the virus. Why do not the homes restrict staff movement more instead of visitors and resident movement?

Residents would rather be physically sick then go through anymore isolation.... You should be ashamed of yourselves!! End the mandates stop shooting vaccines into the residents arms and let's get on with life. Shame on You. Ridiculous that this has gone on as long as you have allowed it!!!!

To Through Our Eyes program, why don't you spread your network so your services will grow and cover more eras and more home that need that kind of service with the collaboration of OSSW's colleges? You can start by accepting student to practice with your program.

Nothing less could be expected of the residents and employees of this fine institution. Let us not forget that every resident has the right to love these caregivers as they do their own family.

These rights, sadly, need so much more awareness. They've been around for awhile and for any older person they could make the difference between an agesist perception and a natural acceptance (even admiration for wisdom and lessons learned). Cannot find where I put COMPLETE for the OWRSS training though I've been through the film twice.

If I Go To The Home , And Tell Them Things About How I’m Feeling It Comes Back Onto Me. I’m The Bad One. So I Just Say Nothing. And Let It Happen. There Is A Resident That Will Walk Right Into My Space. And All I’m To Do Is Do My Call Button. They Tell Me, If I Defend MyselfI Would End Up In Jail. I Would Love To Have Him In His Half Of The Floor. It’s His Right To Go Where He Wants. Not The Ones Who Are Un Easy Having Him In Our Unit. And My Room-Mate Is Into My Stuff. And She Can Do What She Wants. Because She’s Not All There ? I Have To Put My Stuff In My Room.

Same problems at my home. Unfortunately if you’re cognitive or not a total care you are SOL! I have been beaten, almost stabbed with a butter knife, burnt 2 times, and i get labeled the perpetrator even though im in my bed asleep or minding my own business and because I don’t have a cigarette i am now a punching bag on a 1:1.
