SPARE US SOME BRAIN CELLS? | Sonic 3D Blast [Sega Saturn, 1996] Part 2
Also known as Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island in Europe.
We continue playing through Sonic's first pseudo-3D hellscape (if we're not counting Labyrinth) and start blazing through Spring Stadium Zone. The mess of bright colours, wacky sounds and constant movement perfectly is more or less a good portrayal of Dan's attention span through the course of this game. So much chaos...

ISOMETRIC EXERCISE! | Sonic 3D Blast [Sega Saturn, 1996] Part 1
Просмотров 117День назад
Also known as Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island in Europe. We had the PC port of this when we were very young (remember when computers had disc trays?) so thought playing the Saturn version would be a nice change to see the differences. You can say what you want about Sonic 3D - it's probably not the best interpretation to bring the hedgehog out of a 2D environment, but it's still pretty cute and char...

THE GREAT GOLD MEDAL SWEEP | Monsters, Inc. Scare Island [PSX, 2001] Part 5
Просмотров 12214 дней назад
Also known as Monsters, Inc. Scream Team in the US. We finish off Scare Island today by bringing home every remaining medal! That includes finishing the Arctic training grounds and also some unfinished business in the Desert training grounds. Strange how quickly this game can be finished off after earning the bronze medals, right? Did you play this game when you were young too? Leave a comment,...
THESE LEVELS ARE UNFAIR! | Monsters, Inc. Scare Island [PSX, 2001] Part 4
Просмотров 20621 день назад
Also known as Monsters, Inc. Scream Team in the US. We finally lost a life in this game because falling boulders smell really really bad! Besides that... finishing off the Desert Training Grounds, then doing almost all of the Arctic Training Grounds. The ski lift is really cool, man. Did you play this game when you were young too? WHY ARE WE IN THE DESERT | Monsters, Inc. Scare Island [PSX, 2001] Part 3

Also known as Monsters, Inc. Scream Team in the US. Mike and Sulley are off to the desert! Who on earth knows why they're being sent to the desert to train as human scarers... Not unless Monsters, Inc. have branched out to making energy by scaring cacti as well. Did you play this game when you were young too? Leave a comment, tell us all about it. WE CLIPPED OUT OF BOUNDS?! | Monsters, Inc. Scare Island [PSX, 2001] Part 2
Просмотров 193Месяц назад
Also known as Monsters, Inc. Scream Team in the US. This game is, in a surprise twist, a really solid experience for a 2000's game based off a Disney movie. This time we wrap up exploring the Urban Training Grounds with gold medals and, at the end, show off a really silly glitch that let us clip out-of-bounds and fall into the void! Did you play this game when you were young too? Leave a commen...
NOT MADE FOR KIDS... | Monsters, Inc. Scare Island [PSX, 2001] Part 1

Also known as Monsters, Inc. Scream Team in the US. We're probably dragging out the 'Disney tie-in for PS1' wagon a bit far now but unfortunately this is what we played as kids and that's what gets played here, cope and seethe. This game is incredible! Mike and Sulley charging around human environments collecting green sludge and scaring the pants off of robots in quick-time events is another r...

Finishing off Lilo for PSX here. This game was really short for what it was... or maybe it's just because we're around 20 years older than the target demographic who would probably be stuck on, like, the third level by this point. Yeah we're doing another PS1 game. One of the first games we ever owned when very young! This game was made to coexist alongside the original film while telling its events in a pretty disorganized way... but it's cool that Stitch can turn into a ball and wreak havoc here though, right? PUYO PUYO PANTS, IDIOT | Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine [Sega Genesis, 1993]
Просмотров 2142 месяца назад
We don't typically do puzzle games here but this one is so beloved and fun to us! Even though it's essentially only a reskin off a different franchise, Mean Bean helped introduce Puyo-popping chaos to a global audience and even gets plenty of good references in modern Sonic games! This was also perhaps the only game which we had to get mum to beat for us when we were little. Thanks for snooPING...

Can You Complete KID CHAMELEON While ONLY Playing as a Bug?
Absolutely loved this game, well done guys!
so glad you loved it, it's an old favourite of ours too! thanks for your support
Finally been waiting for part 2 🤣🤣 🎉 just about to watch now
hell yeah hope you enjoyed this one! third and last part coming up soon
@ enjoyed it very much, love to see the special stages finally working properly but I do wonder what magic you used to redo the special stages cough cough save states cough cough 🤣 nice to see that there are still lets players in this day and age. I’m hoping to start RUclips back up myself once I’ve sorted out my games room, new desk, sofa, more bookshelves for games etc. it’ll be under a new name so you may see a name change eventually. I think you guys have inspired me to have this great revival in all honesty, showing that even newish channels can have fun whilst making content. Looking forward to the next one matey.
this comment truly means a great deal to us friend. at its core, we're just a pair of goofy idiots who wanted to show off what we grew up playing. to inspire others to set back up and share their own experiences means a lot. best of luck with your own stuff!
UK viewer here, auto glass repair auto glass replace, great vid guys
hahaha yes, someone else who gets it! thanks for your support as well dude
finally got to Sonic 3D Flickies' Island 🥳🥳🥳 one of my favourites on the Saturn, apart from Sonic R (I reccomend playing that casually in the future). Anyways have fun with the soundtrack, and make sure to pay some attention to it, you'll probably know some! Edit: I didn't notice you actually played Sonic R, lol
ooooh thanks for the soundtrack tips! we're aware some of the songs from the Genesis port were recycled into Sonic Adventure 1 tracks, is that the same deal for the Saturn port's songs? also we might do Sonic R again because it's fun
@@ConsoleClassicsDR Not really sure if they are recycled, but some songs, especially green grove are being re-used in some fan games or Sonic Speed Simulator on Roblox, where it's used in World 1(Green Grove act 1) and World 3 (Green Grove act 2). Also I think one of the special stages in genesis might be used as inspiration for tails' theme in Sonic Adventure 2 (not sure if it really is, but you can check that out if you want)
As an autistic person yes Mike is the wrong shade of green. He should be paler.
glad to know somebody else has a keen eye for the important stuff here 😁
So many good memories of this as a kid, it was one of the few movies we had on DVD
the movie honestly slaps so hard, i wonder if it would be worth them doing a proper sequel on it all this time later
thanks for introducing me to this gem of a channel, youtube recommendations. very nice.
Glad you enjoy our stuff!
I don't know why 'there are lots of buildings in new york' made me laugh as hard as it did.
bro asked a stupid question, i had to get him with the wisecrack. works every time man
I played this as a kid because you could rent it from the library without having to pay them money. Good times.
there was something so charming about renting games from places back then i think!
Sully: disco is dead and so are you
very confident that those nerves aren't being scared, just collapsing out of embarrassment that sulley can't bust out a dance move from this century
Is ledge british slang? Is the sphinx the worst level 😂
yeah lol, it's short for 'legend'. dunno about the sphinx being the worst level, i reckon the pyramid is (doing that one next time!)
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Genesis Games !
thank you so much! genesis games are some of our favourites!
@@ConsoleClassicsDR Thank you for your reply ! If you are interested in the nostalgic game culture of Japan, please subscribe to my channel !
Loved the vid !! 😂😂
big thank you for your support, glad you loved it!
@@ConsoleClassicsDR appreciate it keep up the super work ☺️
Ice levels often use a lot of polysynths. Never made money off music 😂
genuine thank-you for letting us know that we have absolutely zero instrument experience lmfao
For some reason the US PC version was also Scare Island, awful inconsistent branding (not that it really mattered in like 2000)
hah, we didn't even know about that version. hilarious how no game studios had their naming together in that sort of era
One of the games I bought from the discount section at a Kohl’s, it has a soft spot in my heart
this game has no business being as good as it is! soft-spot-in-heart well deserved i think
I have vague memories of renting this game and getting stuck on one of the missions. A waste of a weekend. Thanks for the nostalgia!
no worries, glad you liked it! this game definitely felt more difficult when we were younger too
Used to absolutely love this game as a kid 😂😂
right??? it's got such a wacky charm to it. and the level gimmicks are all so on-brand for scoob as well
@ spot on man lol 😂😂
Just subbed already enjoying this ☺️✌️
thank you for your support!
@ and thanks for all your content really enjoy it ☺️🤘🏻

🌳🌌💜Very fun playthrough. You guys, and your splendid accents of Great Britain. Hehe. This game was by far one of the very few bright spots of my childhood. Its one of the big reasons why i began my youtube channel. Bringing all this to life. I listen to its music constantly. Lmao. I love seeing fun videos with folks enjoying this awesomeness. Because it is indeed highly obscure with wild critics and even wilder passionate fans. 💎P.s. yes there is 2 super badass rom hack sequels. Kid Chameleon 2 Heady Metals Revenge, and Kid Chameleon 3 the Final Marathon. Created by the mighty Daniel Rios. I myself am working on a very awesome romhack with my colleague. One day it will be done. One day.
thanks so much for your support. it's always great to find people in the wild who share our sentiments on this game. i knew i wasn't imagining there were romhack sequels! i'm also aware SEGA are looking to resurrect their older IPs like crazy taxi, here's hoping they got KC in the works for that kind of treatment too?
@ConsoleClassicsDR 🏰🌴Bahahahaha. Yezzziiirrrr. I forgot Sega was considering that. Lol. Yeh. Tis good shnitzle. I hope it happens. But if it doesn't, yall still have some awesome sequels to play (and hopefully not use save states but I digress. Lmaooo) Also you guys are one of the extremely few and maybe the only one I ever watched use fecken savestates, and I didn't rage quit watching. Being an OG player, I waged war with zero save states, died a million times, had blood spilt, nightmares of Bloody Forest, got good, gritted my teeth, cranked the music, spilt blood, and did de shnitzle. So it's always very infuriating watching anyone dare to commit sacrilege of save states. Lmao. But the way yall did it for some reason made it funny for once. I still loved yalls Shinanigans. So that's pretty interesting.
👏👏👏😅
Salve meu brother like 🎉🎉😅
My rating of this game: 29% - RUBBISH
completely valid score that, game tried our patience a fair few times. especially the pyramid. so much cut footage...
18:13 man first tries to be decent and then goes and casually flashes us like he has no care in the world. But it's all fine. Cuz he has glasses 🕶
i think poor verne saw so much nonsense in those few seconds alone that he couldn't afford to care anymore lmfao
1:44 THE WAY HE JUST FLOPPED DOWN 🤣
my man was in shambles at what he was witnessing
Compared to the masterfully designed Emperor game, this is a miserable stinker.
they released in a really small window of each other, i wonder if they just had more effort to put into ENG? still, at least floating jafar head is hilarious
@@ConsoleClassicsDR Hilarious indeed. From what I've heard, the Emperor game was made by a team that soon founded Rocksteady Studios of Batman Arkham fame, whilst the Aladdin slop was built by a B-Squad.
Crumbled Palace is the only level I enjoyed. Jasmine is easier to control than the other characters, and the stealth gameplay works okay after some trial and error.
It’s definitely an interesting switch-up for gameplay! The guards chasing after you is scary though 😂
The surfboarding... Absolutely disastrous game design. 😅
The developer who was in charge of that section obviously had a bad day 😂
Love this game
So do we. But sometimes it’s hit or miss 😅
this game is underated one of my favourites and your underated to
thank you for your support! this game is definitely underrated, i'm hoping SEGA will do something new with it for a new generation of players
This game feels like a soulless B-Team project, as it disregards every lesson Argonaut learned from the Croc games that they applied to "The Emperor's New Groove". Limited lives and continues don't belong in a lengthy game with a save feature.
we both absolutely agree with you, definitely feels like an outdated remnant of older, arcade-like game progression
It's not a Donald Duck game in the traditional sense, but have you guys considered checking out "Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow"/"Donald in Maui Mallard"?
hadn't heard of that one until now. looks pretty good though, like something we would have played a lot as kids if we'd known back then!
Two friends playing classic video games? Sounds fun. Subscribed. Were you playing this on a Sega Genesis Mini, original hardware, emulated?
Thanks for your support! We’re actually brothers and we grew up on these sorts of things. In this video we used an emulator to play, but when we were younger we played on the Sega Mega Drive Plug ‘n’ Play (the menu of which I recreated at the start of the video)
@@ConsoleClassicsDR Ah man that's sweet. I have a little brother and I played all these games with him when we were growing up. It's really cool you guys are still playing together. I love the vibe here.
Hey you're saying it all wrong. It's "Wythe fwom you're gwave."
😂 yes that’s very true. But how do you say the death sounds?
Bro this channel is underrated, it's actually insane 💀
@@Azu_Genesis Thanks! We really appreciate it!
A Bearly Classic Masterpiece
Nice alternative title
I love the level "Stay in one place. You're panicking." xD lol
you encounter an old lady thrashing a sword at you so naturally the first question on Rob's mind must be "why is she in a rocking chair?" 😂 I enjoyed this episode a lot 👏👏 also realised that what Dan said in a previous episode about the hard vs squidgy stars isn't completely ridiculous! The audio for the red and blue stars when you collect them is defo softer than the yellow ones which sound more like collecting coins!!! c:
Thanks for your support! We're glad you enjoyed! (I'm glad someone agrees with me on the star sounds ~Dan)
watched this episode with my mum, my favourite part was when Donald twerked every time he got a little bear point and mum's favourite was when the scary bear died 👏 excellent job
Console Classics: Family Entertainment! Also, a twerk after collecting a child's toy is a must-do, no exceptions.
Don't know if it's possible to beat the bloody swamp as the bug.
i tried it many, many times off-camera for fun, got so close but never all the way! although i’ve seen an excellent TAS video where they beat bloody swamp as the tank - perhaps bug is possible after all, just inhumanly hard?
definitely missed opportunity not calling this episode "donald duck is cracked attack"
Damn, that is a good title!
This and Taz Mania for the Sega Genesis were probably my most rented games back then!
excellent choices! taz is such a cool and wacky character
didn't realise i hadn't commented, this is my favourite episode :3
We're glad you enjoyed, but none of our viewers needs to comment on everything!:)
Absolutely fantastic content, subbed
thank you very much!
I have found a hidden gem of a channel. Keep it up!
thank you, we certainly will! we've got a few more games from around this era coming up soon!
You can beat this game in 5 minutes by laying on the very right block in level two. Warps you straight to the last boss.
we tried it in the video, and there was a plot twist…
I saw! Man that was a great video. Like you i loved KC as a kid and its so nostalgic seeing it again. I totally forgot about all the gem powerups, and that jump you did on the last level omg
so glad you enjoyed it! i didn't even know the gem powers existed when i played this as a kid. and i'm still really happy over the last jump too lol
