A BETTER Slit Lamp Shield - Made With Real COPPER! DIY. Dr. Ali-Ridha
Simple do-it-yourself (DIY) universal COPPER slit lamp shield that can be made in less than 10 mins from home using basic tools! Custom designed and shaped to fit any type of slit lamp model with the same functionality as a clear plastic shield as tested including clear windows for viewing the patient and the tonometer.
Copper has been shown to have natural anti-viral properties and is a robust material so it should ideally be used in a breath shield to ensure better safety for ophthalmologists and optometrists as they examine more patients when clinics are ramped up again during the Coronovirus pandemic. Protect yourself, your colleagues and your patients better from the spread of virus ...

Thank you!! Very helpful!!
4:15 can you help me?…..if you “dial-in” your focus [prescription as you call it] onto a vessel [initially] from so far out will it not be gone out of focus when you move in close for your fundoscopy position?
Finoff transilluminator probe….. no?
Z-axis is when you rotate/screw the joy stick - not a combo of x & y as you seemed to suggest

How about coming up with a way where a patient isn’t blind for the rest of the day after an exam? I HATE eye exams.
5:25 ophthalmology exam 😴 💤

Nice Review, Thank You!
This is a great video! I'm in the 5th year of Med School and I'm like 90% sure I wanna be an Ophtalmologist so I really like seeing such detailed explanations like this! Thank you!
Great videos! Thank u! Only want to add… there is no +3 etc…. It’s 20/30- (meaning -1) 20/40+(meaning +1) or -2/+2 If someone gets 3 wrong or right… it moves To documenting the line above or below. So 20/30-3 is actually 20/40+2
This is correct under the assumption that the chart has 5 letter lines. In the event of a 6 letter line chart the principle is similar; if you get half correct, move to the next line. If a patient read three out of six letters on the 20/20 line then none on 20/15, in that case acuity would be 20/20-3.
@@arturotheburro what if they got one in the 20/15 but 20/20-3…. I wonder if most projectors have odd number of letters. I haven’t paid attention bc it’s so automatic for me now. I have only memorized the old school fzbd4, oflc3, slides
@@ChicagoChicago27 It would be the same notation, you could write 20/20-3/+1. Same as if someone read 3 20/20 and one 20/15 line on a 5 letter chart would be 20/20-2/+1. This is really semantics though haha. In clinic I don’t often denote +/- unless there’s a specific difficulty or something with the vision.
Good video♥️, +/- points as well. - is that one should know the stages/phrases of RAPD, + - is that thank you, for your efforts. Love from NEPAL🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵♥️
Very well explained 👏 👌
the patient : my eyes aching me doc! the doc : well, it could be your IOP.. let 's measure it. patient : ok 🙄 the doc : let me just put on my condom. the patient : 😳🤨😒
