I worked this show in a football field in Oklahoma stage hand. They asked if I was free to work the rest of the tour ending in Canada. It was a temtation.
The bridge went from the end zone to the small stage on the 50 yard line. We had 27 semi trucks full of equipment craft services? An entire small city street signs,etc...Just for the chefs to feed us hard working stagehands! And boy did we earn it! Just before the tear down I walked to the back stage area where the crew was to meet up,get ready to tear down the show, right? I was alone except for 1 guy sitting at a small table looking like he was getting ready for the load out. I had my own crew so I was early, setting an example right? The other gent, doing the same. I noticed a pint of Wild Turkey on his tiny table. So, in a bit of camaraderie I asked "Would you pass that jug?" Him:"You want this?" Me:Yes please if you don't mind..thanks,! That's how my crew found me, in high spirits!"
My friend Famous Jamous drummer in the band I was singing front lead in, I got him on the tour with me. Just to set up...he had No Idea we were working for the Stones! Boy was that fun.! A learning experience to say the least! I don't think we slept 6 hours out of say, 3 daze! The touring road crew were amazed at the Oklahoma Work Ethic. I mean, we emptied 23 trucks, I'd keep my eyes on the NEXT truck and asked the loadmaster "See my guy's here, sir? You tell ME the way you want everything. Ok? (Remember, my crew are NOT the guy's to laze about). You'll be amazed at not only how quickly, but professionally your stuff I'd set up to YOUR specs! This man was Loadmaster on each gig for The Bridges to Babylon tour! I overheard him at the end of the loadout."These Oklahoma guys Do Not fuck around! The gear they load up AFTER the show is actually Clean! No bhing,

When I saw this in concert I totally freaked out I never knew a band could put a damn stage together like that and throw a bridge all the way across the other side of the stage and jaggered dance all over it like that that was a crazy damn night and it was so cool
