Really useful, I bought an LH500 and already had a better understanding of the EQ. I can't see what the frequencies on the spectrometer in the video are though...

Also very cool is how the Q of the boost and cut decreases as you crank the knob. A frequency on the second dial is much narrower a boost or cut than the same frequency on the first.

Is the Aural enhancer on this preamp different than the others? FR graphs I have seen show the dip at 200hz and it goes like -15db down when cranked.

That was probably the weirdest eq demonstration I've seen. The presence was destroyed as soon as you turned down the low mids, i.e. rather instantly after turning on the eq, and you never pulled them back up to demonstrate some reasonable tones. Then you further made the sound thinner by playing around with boosting all the treble frequencies rather than cutting them...

How did you have the Stingray EQ set? And was it the 2-band or 3-band? Thanks.

I bro, could you possibly take some close up pic of the inside of that bass, in particular the wiring connected to that switch. I bought one of these years ago, but it has a two way switch that doesn't seem to have a drastic effect like it does on this demo.

Awesome video. I can see the AD200B has a Fender Tone Stack EQ, which is by design mid-scooped. Looks like I’ll be buying an Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL head instead. I love being able to boost the mids when needed.
