Rip off and not a farm Are u serious
Are you familiar with the income from olives and grapes? This land is registered at the Finanças with a high income resulting from how much it produced. Are you aware of how much it costs to have electricity connected not only to the building but especially to the well pump? It isn't a rip off...And the price is negotiable.

When you have a ruin you can put there anything like a mobile home with all furnishings for 12k to 20 k depending on size . Easy!
Sure you can, but would it be legal to live there full time...? I don't think so, so does financas and the local PDM...
Farm means land with a house you showed us a ruined barn
I can easily change the title to "Land", I'm sorry if that mislead you. The point is that we use both words (land / farm) without much difference in meaning. In most ads you'll find "farm" or "quinta" in the title, but very few will have buildings which have habitation license or that are even eligible for that. It's quite normal that the barn is in a bad condition, the farm has been abandoned for a long time.
Is 35.000 the price? How does that convert to US dollars?

Actually, it's below market prices, mainly taking into account electricity, own source of water already with a connection to electricity, size of the support building, number of fruit trees, olive grove and vines and access. The asking price is negotiable.

What is the advantage of the urban article? How big is this area and is there anything built on it. If not, will you be able to build and how big big may the building be?
The urban article allows building - one must apply with a project at the City Hall. It does not mean you can build a house for habitation - that totally depends on the city hall / the Portuguese Territory management. Sometimes it can be for habitation, if the project is accepted, other times they will allow one to build storage buildings, etc. This urban article is 60m2 and there is already a building there, registered/legal. Rustic articles may as well allow building, in this case always agricultural support, all subject to approval. I hope I was able to help. It's a rather complex topic :) The best thing is always to ask the city hall exactly what can be done on a specific land/farm.

It's a dead end street, although a bit steep, so you could park in front of the house or a few meters away, where it's flatter.

In the past it was common to build the bathroom outside in rural Portugal. It's easy to make a bathroom inside on the groundfloor and/or on the first floor, there's already plumbing in different spots in the house :)
