    Great job on the design of the Phantom 2.0...HORRIBLE job on naming it the Phantom 2.0! It doesn't even have the same DNA as the Phantom. It makes ZERO sense. But it's Apollo. Can anyone say that they're all that surprised?

    I currently own a Segway Ninebot F2 pro but its speed disappoints me so im planning on getting the Apollo Phantom v4x but I cant decide whether to get the Nami Klima instead. However I hate the Nami Klima's wire management. It really gets on my nerves seeing wires dangling around. Can someone please recommend me a good scooter in the range of $2300 which has bluetooth app control, speeds over 50 km/h, and a good amount of range?

    Nice video. Thanks. I bought Apollo's V4 Phantom about four months ago. Love it. Except to say; I really didn't appreciate the countless emails from them two months later saying I should buy their V4x with tubeless tires and so on. And Now, a few months later they are email blasting me to buy their latest 2.0!? Kinda like rubbing my nose in the fact that I have given them just over $2k Cdn for a soon to be obsolete item. No offers of buy backs, no upgrades, no trade-ins, nothing. Apollo is a fine young company, but I sincerely hope they can further develop their understanding of the unwritten customer contract. “Customers are my company's highest producing sales force”

      @@BorealisNights that's my bad I was thinking it was the Apollo Pro 2024 which costs $3,300 and it has drum brakes with the regen braking throttle. It goes 44mph like my Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Plus 2024 and it has hydraulic disc brakes and EBS! Any e-scooter that goes that fast needs hydraulic brakes I don't care if it has a regen breaking throttle or not especially when you're paying that much money. It's crazy that their most expensive scooter has drum brakes.

    • @BorealisNights
      @BorealisNights Месяц назад

      @@The_Cannabis_Connoisseur Lol... coincidentally, that's my ride, although you might call mine the 2023 PRO, as I ordered way back when it was still only available through IndieGoGo(although I didn't receive it until January this year, it is actually different from the '24 model in that it included the iOT and the Charging mount in the price, and the '24 has the beefier stem latch and revised deck tape preinstalled, although those were also sent to me free of charge). I can't say I have an issue with the drum brakes, as they also engage the regen brakes when the drum levers are pulled(no need to try and hit the brake 'throttle' while also grabbing a handful of lever)... So, for example, if I want a quicker stop than regen alone, applying even just one drum, also engages both the front and rear regen. Even then, I only have my regen set at level 6 out of 10, as I find that to be plenty of brake for comfortable stops, saving the levers/drums with simultaneous regen for the more 'intense moments'. lol. Happy, and safe riding!✌🏼🇨🇦

    Hmmmm..... Apollo are quickly turning into the 'Apple' of the scooter world which is both a good thing (premium build quality & smooth OS experience via their App) yet it can have the opposite effect to turn potential & loyal customers away for the premium pricetag that comes along with it. Paying for services AFTER dishing out a hefyy pricetag? Sounds very Apple Subscription (Music, TV +, Arcade) like. Perhaps that is coming ??? I am now a little hesitant to start saving for the Phantom 2.0 or lets face it now Pro & Pro MAX! I just hope they (Apollo) continue along the 'Samsung' pathway to push boundries in innovation just as Samsung did in the early smartphone wars with innovative developments. Please Mac... do NOT go all Tim on us then lose your Johnny (Eloi) and ruin it for the pure Apollo fan boys out there (ME included)

    I have the V4. had it for a month now. It lives on LUDO mode, in fact I've never taken it off LUDO since unboxing. I have my reasons but it handles like a champ! the only CON I would say about the scooter is the HUD screen, its very weak and breaks super easy. I only had my V4 Phantom for 2 weeks, while riding I had to stop immediately during a normal riding session and I had to brake really hard at the moment, and I usually lean back every time I brake but this time I leaned into it and I bumped the HUD screen with my zipper on my jacket and the screen cracked and doesn't work anymore. Luckily the app is very responsive and works great so I just mount my phone on the Phantom but still...paid $2+k for this guy and the screen broke so easily. Other than that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Handles great in the city and I over take most cars when the light turns green and keep up with city traffic (30-40mph). ALWAYS WEAR A FULL FACE HELMET! All in all its a 8.9 out of 10 for me. Cons are the screen and LONG charge time but PROs are it's built like a TANK, rides extremely smooth and is extremely responsive. So far my tires are holding up for city road traffic. It's worth the money but get a phone mount because you will break that weak built screen!

    I've got a 2023, V3 Phantom, put 4400kms on it so far, am I alone in this opinion - there's no way LUDO is that dramatic. With throttle set to 10, if you switch on LUDO, the boost isn't that big of a deal. My Apollo app keeps crashing every time I come to a complete stop - it just has this dumb "awesome" button telling me how much $ I saved by riding that day. Apollo app constantly has to be force-stopped on Android, otherwise it just eats at my phone battery. I like your upgraded throttle/regen levers. Almost ordered new ones today, but I think I'll wait til spring & just upgrade. I hope the '25 Phantom is available then! Keep those tires inflated to ~50psi! No flats on mine so far!

      @@eloipecquet v 3.13.1914 . I just don't use it anymore, no harm done. I'll try it every major update or so to see how things are going, but other than showing me a signal light status, I don't really need it. I uninstalled/reinstalled it a couple of times this past year & always have to force-stop it, so it's not really worth the battery drain for me. The new design is pretty, but I know the Phantom better than the app does at this point. Speed, signals and which gear I'm in isn't exactly a lot to remember. Turning off the scooter without ending the ride thru the app will prevent the ride from being stored, I found that odd. A basic LOS should just store whatever's buffered. 1 = Eco. 2 = throttle max, regen max 3 = same as 2. (I understand throttle adjustments can't be unique in gears 2 and 3, due to hardware limitations). I don't know why anyone would limit their speed in ANY gear, unless for legislated speed limits like in the U.K. Limiting throttle response is far easier when trying to conserve battery. Cruise control, IMO, is too dangerous on scooters. My unpopular opinion so I don't push it.

    I have a V3 Phantom, have a little over 3600kms on mine. 10 mins of maintenance weekly & mine feels brand new. Range is surprisingly good, but that could be because I'm getting more creative with using ECO mode. I'm hoping I can upgrade my V3 to the tubeless tires & improved throttle/regen levers & enjoy peace of mind while I save up for the Apollo Pro I've been hoping to get. I've been considering other brands/models, but I continue to find that proper maintenance of my Phantom has kept it working great. I absolutely hate changing tires, having pinched so many tubes - but I'm so in love with the dedicated regen thumb lever, I don't ever want to squeeze brake pads over a disc again - unless it's in emergency. If the V4x was available in IP55, I'd get it before a Klima - even with some of the old-scene hardware. Plus, I know these things are built in China, but I still like to support a fellow Canadian company when I can. Appreciate your review, I had no idea about the V4x - of all the spam I get from Apollo, the stuff that would make me shove my money at them is kept quiet. The tires with tubes, the weak headlight and the dim LED screen are all features of an outdated design.

I fill the tires to 50psi every day before riding. I tighten the lugs that hold the wheels on. The bolts that hold the silver rims on - tighten those often! They will be loose, even with blue loctite. Before storing it in the winter, I clean it thoroughly - using an old toothbrush for the shock springs, etc. Just rolled over 4020kms this morning. Still getting ~30kms out of 50% battery with only partial eco mode. The battery often lasts longer than I find it comfortable to stand for. An hour of aggressive riding is about all I like to ride at once. It's only been in heavy rain once, light rain 3 maybe 4 times.

      I used to have just one, on my left, but even with makeshift mirror-stem suspension, I found it rattled too much. I found small wing-mirrors too small, and big ones just got in the way with parking or accidental tipovers. I was hoping there'd be a solution where a GoPro with anti-shake tech could be mounted in the rear & transmitted real-time to a smaller screen on the dash, or even to my cellphone, which could act as a secondary LED screen. That way you'd have a constant, steady, wide-angled, live view of the back.

      I often think about the Klima and if I should have gone for that instead. I actually do quite a bit of forest trail riding, so that's big points for the Klima's superior suspension. But I'm so used to the smooth regen throttle on the Phantom, I think it would be really hard to give that up. Also, in my experience, Apollo customer service has been great to work with. I know you see a lot of bad stuff online, but I have not had that experience.

      I have just over 3600kms on a Phantom V3 & the #1 thing that puts the Klima over Phantom V4x is that you can ride it in the rain. Klima is also considerably faster accelerating, but ultimately around the same top speed. My Phantom accelerates up any hill I point it at, and I'm 200lbs + often heavy knapsack. Nami is the best production scooter in the industry right now, but they also haven't changed much at all in 3 years. Apollo's gone through LOTS of change, innovation & improvement. You have to get good at routine maintenance to keep the Phantom quiet and reliable, but I'm talking basic stuff like tightening every possible bolt and lubricating suspension/stem joints to keep them from squeaking. I'm not sure how bright the LED screen is on the Klima, but its headlight is 2k lumens - twice as bright as the one on the Phantom. The LED screen of the V3 Phantom is basically invisible - totally invisible - if you're wearing sunglasses - and its headlight is "be seen", not "see in the dark". I don't judge it on that though, I bought an extra headlamp for nighttime riding - but the difference in getting noticed is very obvious if you turn your headlight on all the time. It activates daytime brake lighting too. We often have to get into traffic, especially in intersections, and our visibility from behind isn't great without improvements. Klima weighs about the same. Klima's range is also considerably better - allegedly. Two drawbacks of the Klima, though: 1) Klima has regen braking but it isn't dedicated - it's incorporated into the regular brakes. I put hydraulic brakes on my Phantom for peace of mind - the regular disc brakes on a Phantom are nothing short of awful. I use my dedicated regen braking (has its own vertical lever) 100% of the time. Crank the regen settings to '10' (100%) and braking is FAR superior for PLANNED stops - but note that immediate, unplanned emergency stops are NOT effective with regen braking. Always have a very healthy set of hydraulic brakes to rely on in emergencies. I can't stress enough how, once you get used to it, just how good the dedicated regen is. I stop far later than I would with hydraulics due to the smooth buildup of non-skid braking power in both wheels - with no disc wear. I'm on the same set of brake pads (on their first adjustment, even!) for over 3000 kms. 2). Klima's battery is not UL Certified. For most places in Canada, a UL certification will not guarantee your landlord will allow your scooter to be stored & charged in your apartment - but it will certainly help convince them & their insurance companies that your battery is NOT on the list of dangerous batteries re-furbed or sold as new by shady "burn & re-sell under a different tax #" companies. With the snap of his fingers, a landlord could tell you you're not allowed to have an E-scooter in the building, nor can you keep it in your car or parking space. Preemptively informing them your scooter is UL Certified can be the difference. Not a drawback but it is to me - I don't like the archaic 'trigger' throttles like the Klima. I much prefer the vertical paddles for throttle + regen. IP55 rating & better range of the Klima is a huge plus. Dedicated regen of the Phantom is a huge plus. It's a tough call for me, not sure if my indecision adds to yours or if it helps...but I'm happy to answer questions.
