That is so gross the technician is not wearing gloves or arm coverings. His HAIRY arms are touching her. CROSS CONTAMINATION!!! One breast at a time should be exposed!!
This is a medical examination, a qualified technologist regardless of the gender can carry out the examination, you can request for a woman if you want but if you get a man.. I recommend having an open mind and don’t think he’s out to caress you! Unless you have a reason to think otherwise, these people are professionals! I am a radiologic technologist/radiographer

That man is sweating just something I noticed. 😬 I wonder if I can wear nipple pasting on my nipples while getting this, I don't want anyone touching my nipple at all during my ultrasound coming up next month my breasts are rather large and the mammogram was not enough to get all the specific area 😫

Ridiculous. I wouldn’t want a man doing mine either… but honestly, it’s just a job and the patient can request a woman be in the room as well. I agree it’s weird, but You know there are much worse ultrasounds 😂
Also, what about when women have to preform Scrotal ultrasound examinations? In many cases there may not be a male sonographer available to do that. So men are also uncomfortable. Do you think that women say “oh I need to see your scrotum again" It’s not sexual. It’s just as awkward for us as it is for the patient, and we want to get out of these just as fast as you do. You make it sound like we’re pervs…

As a cancer survivor, I can say that the pressure doctors put on cancer patients to do the chemo/radiation is intense. Over a half dozen of my relatives with various cancers that followed doctors orders on doing the chemo/radiation were dead in 18 months and some with the first infusion. I am still here 6 years later and am glad I take a natural step with Dr Khiria on his herbal treatment which are the keys to getting well. I was scared when I found out I have lumps on my two breast, but after using Dr. Gbenga herbal mixture I was completely cured from fibroadenoma without surgery, the lumps are no longer there, am so happy.

That's the problem. I'm a first year radiology resident too and no one explains these things or wants to explain. I feel like few people care to give tips on how to study.
It's VERY rare for women to have *"Routine"* breast ultrasound exams. They're generally ordered bc of a suspicion of cancer or some other health problem. I'm not a prude, and have had four babies, all "natural child-birth", so I'm familiar with women AND men giving healthcare for extended periods of time & emergent situations; HOWEVER, I question WHY YOU HAVE A MAN PERFORMING THE EXAM & A MAN NARRATING THE PROCEDURE? Not only that, but the man doing the exam even looks creepy, he's letting the gel slime all over & down that POOR WOMAN, and THIS IS JUST GROSS! C'mon. I don't care how "progressive" ppl claim to be. It doesn't matter how many men become nurses. Not ONE single woman gives a rat's pink behind that every man ALWAYS SAYS, *"I don't care if I have a WOMAN DOCTOR OR NURSE"*, bc like it or NOT, *MEN & WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT!* Deep down, WE are just WIRED to protect ourselves from strange men. I don't CARE how old I am. I don't care how ugly I am. I don't CARE if the MAN IS GAY. It is psychologically DAMAGING to FORCE WOMEN to be TOUCHED & UNDERGO ANY MEDICAL PROCEDURES BY A MAN IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO! This is a POLITICAL ploy by the Left & we MUST fight back for our sisters who feel uncomfortable about this. (I'm NOT talking about specialists/surgeons & life-saving procedures. I'm referring to routine exams & primary patient care, which can easily be handled by either gender. Where are ALL the Civil Rights activists who are always protesting for *"My BODY, My CHOICE!"?* )
Yes, you're right. Routine breast ultrasounds are abnormal unless there is a palpable lump, breast abnormalities, discharge, family history of cancer, etc. Additionally, you will require a referral from your GP before a scan can take place, which requires the GP to acknowledge a need for the scan. The lady in the video should be more covered and not be as exposed, i.e the left breast. However, to say that males shouldn't be doing breast ultrasounds is ridiculous. Downright hypocritical to think that if they're about to save your life, it's fine (but forced, apparently). But wrong if they're doing other routine health check ups. Makes no sense. Every woman has the choice to have this scan done by a male or female. They can formally request this. Plenty of women out there don't really care as there is a professional code of conduct within the sonographer profession. It's called consent. You are not physically forced to perform the scan by a male. That sounds utterly stupid. Simply talk to the receptionist and ask for a female sonography. Grow up.
The patient has every right to request a female to do the exam if they don't feel comfortable having a male performing a procedure. Plus, there will pretty much always be a female employee in the room to act as a witness of any misconduct. In healthcare, you can't force the patient to do anything they don't want to do. Also, you sound idiotic making this into a political argument.
With the development of more sensitive mammography including 3D imaging and digital imaging, breast sonography has ABSOLUTELY become routine as part of the yearly breast exam particularly in women with dense breast tissue. The newer technology just allows for more pathology or suspicious findings that need further evaluation. This happens to be the case for me and after being called back in after my mammogram with suspicious findings 3 years in a row, I now request a screening ultrasound yearly with my mammogram. As a patient, I personally have no preference whether the sonographer is male or female as long as they are experienced and qualified to perform the ultrasound. As a female sonographer (I am a RDMS and RVT), I can tell you that I routinely perform testicular and prostate exams on male patients as well as gynecological exams on female patients. My interest is in helping the patient by obtaining the best images possible to allow their doctor to make an informed diagnosis. That is the extent of it. As far as the "slime" aspect, it is ultrasound gel and it is necessary for proper ultrasound imaging because sound needs a medium to travel through. Without gel, we can't obtain clear images and we have to use quite a bit. People think that the gel is for the comfort of the patient, but it's really not...it's so that the sound waves can get through the tissue properly. It is ALWAYS the patient's right to refuse a sonographer or any health care provider if they are not comfortable with the gender of that professional.
