These were designed for palm fronds. That's why there's a sharp blade on the bottom edge. The gas-powered, chainsaw typehead. End up ripping the frond . This saw makes a clean cut. One pull downward with the saw than one up stroke pushing the sharp blade through the frond.

Or has anyone tried installing the foam sheets? I live in the DFW area my home has its own vents so that the bottom of the house ventilates as needed and with all this cold weather I wanna find the best solution to keep my floors warms.

Have you ever seen the fire department go on the news and ask people not to drip their pipes because they won't have enough water pressure to put out fires? ...No, you haven't, because it's not true. And the pipes outside can also bust, keeping your home warm will do nothing for the outside pipes if you don't keep sone water moving, and anything between the meter and your yard you will be responsible foe paying the insurance will not cover busted pipes outside your house. Anything inside your house your homeowners insurance will cover minus your deductible. Unless they can find a reason not to pay... And often they do.

I installed Thermafloor mats in my masterbath under the finish flooring and it keeps that floor comfortable during winter months to where you can walk on it barefoot. No insulation under the subfloor either.

I live in Kentucky where we do get some cold winters and just had a ice storm and all my duct work runs through the attic and my wooden floor are freezing cold there is no insulation in the crawl space.What option should I do then .

Stay away from this rats and squirrels eat it and it attracts them I had this done this summer and now I'm having it all removed it dissolves in moisture and attacks this. I was lied to about this being a good source. This is the same packing peanuts that dissolve in water. It dissolves in the humidity in Texas and I have squirrels who smell to food source chew a hole in the roof a brand new roof also this summer and run off with their cheacks full. Rodents eat and run underneath it they are not detoured like itchy fiberglass. Because the rodents like to eat it it makes it impossible to trap or poison them and the know the food is in the roof and get right back inside to eat it. This company either lied to me or the material was not treated properly but anything that dissolves in moisture is a stupid idea!!!!
