👍
The whole story of the Baaston Massacre is that a squad of British troops was confronted by a mob of 300 - 400 people. John Adams (who later sponsored the Alien and Sedition Acts) defended the 9 British troops accused of manslaughter. Attucks, along with 2 other men, died at about the same time. Boucher was lucky to have died when he did. The Terreur would have surely introduced him to the National Razor. PS Crispus' surname is pronounced AT-ux.
👍

Since the US didn't exist during his life, I doubt Wayles ever wore a US Army uniform.

Montgomery lives on in many place names in the original 13 states. PS I believe Cholmondeley is pronounced CHUM-lee.
Bunker (actually Breed's) Hill was the one the British didn't want to die on. A very poorly thought out engagement exemplifying the days when a British oficer bought his commission. The Prescott brothers were not related to William Prescott, who commanded the defense of Bunker Hill.
Just a quick note to let you know I haven’t forgotten you, but you’re going faster than I can keep up with you. I have prepared notes for 1776 parts 1&2, 1775 parts 1&2 and 1774. I’m working on organizing them so that I don’t keep repeating myself and giving you too much information to sort through. Oops! I just now noticed on the title for 1774 the words, “EPISODE-1”. I’m guessing that means “EPISODE 2” is in production. That will probably mean more editing will be necessary on my part. I’ll wait for 1774 to be completed before I post a lesson. This “nazi saga” is going to have the theme, “How the ‘tortured’ paid back the ‘torturer’.”😂 Give me some time and I WILL get back to you! 😊❤

No Richard Montgomery? Counties in 15 states are named for him, most notabvly in PA and MD, as well as Monmtgomery AL. PS 17 kids? Billy Penn kept a lot under his hat (local joke).
There were too many obituaries for the year 1775 still some videos left so far I've covered till May. Richard Montgomery died in December. He will be there in the 4th episode of 1775. 😊

I thought this is supposed to be 1775 not 1776
You are 👍 I mistakenly wrote 1775 instead of 1776 in the title and fixed it. Thank you for pointing out. 😊

Grammar Nazi reporting: As I’ve said, I’m going to evaluate three videos at a time because I think you’re improving in enough areas, that we can concentrate on the more troublesome ones that get repeated. I’m happy to report that there were no errors, or I didn’t find any, on the 1779 video. In 1778, there were two “or” words, “lord” and “port” that came out as “load” and “pote”. In the case of “lord” you pronounced it correctly the first time and incorrectly the second time. “Theatre” came up again in 1778 and in 1777, part ll. The “a” in the English version (theatre is a French word) is an unaccented syllable. Vowels in unaccented syllables tend to have the “uh” sound. In a dictionary pronunciation guide they’re usually with the phonetic symbol of a schwa. That’s a lower case “e” printed upside down and backwards. It should be pronounced with three syllables, with the accent on the first as, “THEE-uh-tur” not “THAY-tur”. ln French, it’s pronounced, “tay-AH-truh”. Two other words in “1778” were “southern” and “said”. They are pronounced as, “SUTH-urn” and “SED”. Both are exceptions to the rule and are usually mistakenly pronounced as you did by people learning to speak English. That includes non-native speakers and babies and young children learning to speak. I’ll take 1777 and 1777 pt.2, together. There were six words have been mispronounced in previous videos besides the 1777’s, so I narrowed it down to six. They are: 1. “advocacy” 2. “brigadier” 3. “fatal” 4. “statue” 5. “support(ed)” and 6. “theologian”. 1. “advocacy”= “ADD-vuh-kuh-see”, not “ ADD-vo-KAY-see”; the third syllable is unaccented. 2. “brigadier”= “BRIG-uh-deer”, not “brig-AH-deer” 3. “fatal” = “FAY-tul”, not “FAT-tul”; the “a” has the long sound when followed by a single consonant, as a rule. 4. “statue” = “STA-choo”, not “STAY-choo”; the “a” has the short sound, which is an exception to the rule shown in #3, “fatal”. 5. “support(ed)” = “sup-PORT-id” not “ sup-PO-tid”; the “r” needs to be pronounced the same way that you pronounce it in “reason” when you’re giving the cause of death in the obituary. 6. “theologian” = “thee-uh-LOW-jun” not “thee-uh-LAH-jun”. There were six VW errors in all, in the three videos, which were: “wealthy”, “work”, “wounds”, “women”, “with” and “Viceroy”. Now to end on a positive note; I noticed that the very last word of the very last obituary in 1777 part 2, was “court”. You pronounced it correctly, albeit in a British accent, but I’ll celebrate 🎉 anyway 😂. That breakthrough gives me my motivation back!!! I’m praying that you stay healthy, safe and out of harm’s way.😊❤
I've written the previous mesg instructions on a paper and pasted it on work desk to keep it in mind while recording now the upcoming video recording is already done its 12am right now here and doing a recording will definitely write these new instructions on a paper and paste it on work desk to keep it in mind 😅 I always miss your daily comments but it seems life is busy all I can say is stay healthy happy and blessed. 😊❤️

Thank you 😊❤️
Thanks, I needed this! After commenting on 1780, so negatively, I was thrilled to find no errors in 1779! 🎉😀❤
I don’t think motivation has come up lately, but I’m beginning to have a difficult time staying motivated as your teacher because I keep mentioning the same errors occurring over and over again. I’ve stressed your lack of pronunciation of the “r” in the words having “or” and “our” in them. I realized in the 1780 obituary that you are capable of getting this right when you pronounced “courtier” correctly, with the “r’s” clearly sounded. Then, in the next sentence, pronounced “court” as “coat”. You’re still not pronouncing the “r” in “supported” and “explored”. You mentioned a few lessons back that you had already uploaded videos before you got the notification(s). However, enough time has passed now that there should be some progress. I feel as though I’m not helping you at all. If there’s anything you don’t understand, please say so in a reply so that I can better help you. I’m not going to address the other errors until we get this one problem solved. Please try to master this; I’m really feeling sad and frustrated. 😢❤
welp i never heard of any of these good folks
Pulaski TN, ironically the birthplace of the Klan as it was the location of Bedford Forrest's law office, was named for Casimir. The cause of death for James Cook was not TB, but death in combat with Hawaiian natives. The RN maintains a memorial at Kealakekua Bay (having snorkeled there, I've seen it).

Also wtf is this calming or exciting but relaxxing/interesting an amusing for being abke to think or see that theres even records of deaths this old.. :D
Fun fact: settlement of TX and CA didn't begin until the time of the Boston Massacre. The Garces expedition was one of several initiatives of the Catholic Church which ran afoul of hostile Indians.
That IS a fun fact to this Texan.
Ooh tifo a either reason to look up or else recalling hearing that once or maybe two times or different situations before now,, the term boston massacre but I wanna say it was a recebt running athletic thing I am thinking of other than iirc I well idk pretty sure its gonna when I looke it up be.. like a mass murderer or group. Man I just realized zi never really remember off my head when TX was made a state.. just 1850 for CA bc of it being 11 wheb the civil war of the statew broke out.
@@courtneyraymer6586 The other one I thought of was San Saba.
This seems to be the day for the American Revolution's Indian wars. Crawford, as he was being tortured, begged Simon Girty, a legendary psychopath and turncoat whom Baby Trudeau chooses to revere as a hero of Canada's "First Nations", to kill him. Girty turned his back after saying, "I have no gun". Croghan was assistant for 20 years to Sir William Johnson, Britain's top Indian agent and another Loyalist, and was banished because he was accused of treason. Eventually exonerated, he died in Passyunk Township, now part of Philadelphia. Charles Lee mismanged his assignment in the battle of Monmouth, incurring the fury of George Washington, and was court-martialed, becoming something of a metaphor for incompetence.
Interesting! I enjoyed reading it!
As you’ve probably noticed, I’m limiting the “torture” to every third video to try to keep the focus on the errors that occur most often. It also allows for more practice on words that seem to be used most often. I’m going to harp on the rhotic “r” until you master it in the “or” words. They seem to be the troublesome ones. The “or” words that occurred in the 1785-1783 were: “court”, “harpsichord”, “support(er)” and “world”. The sound that you’re missing is the same as the words “or” and “ore”. The tongue needs to raised to where it’s just slightly behind the alveolar ridge. Practice with words that begin with “r” to get the “feel” of the proper positioning. The next group of words are the “middle ‘u’” words three or more syllables. In most cases, these words use the long vowel sound, not the short. The words that came up in the last three videos were: “calculus”, occupied”, “popular”,reputation” and “tuberculosis”. For the long “u” I use “yew” as the phonetic because it sounds like name of the letter itself, which is what is meant by the long sound. Therefore, they are pronounced as follows: “calculus”= “KALK-yew-lus”. “occupied”= “AHK-yew-pied”. “popular”= “POP-yew-lur” “reputation”= “rep-yew-TAY-shun”. “tuberculosis”= “too-BUR-kyew-LOW-sis”. Some of these same words have been corrected before, so they need more practice. The last words have occurred before, so give them more practice too. They are: “satirical”, “subsequent(ly)”, “theatre”, “theatrical “ and “theologian”. Correct pronunciation with mispronunciation are below: 1. “satirical”= “suh-TEER-uh-kul” NOT “suh-TARE-uh-kul”. 2.”subsequent(ly)”= “SUB-suh- kwent-(lee)” NOT “sub-SEE-kwent-lee” 3.”theatre” or “theater” = “THEE-uh-ter” NOT “THAY-ter” (3 syllables, not 2 syllables). 4.”theatrical” = “thee-AT-truh-kul”NOT “thee-RAT-ee-ul” 5.”theologian”= “thee-uh-LOW-jun” NOT “thee-uh-LAW-jun”. You’re mixing it up with the pronunciation of “theology”. Hopefully, you’ll have a chance to study these words enough before you do too many more videos; that will give you the practice you need for consistent accuracy. I’ve really enjoyed your expansion into more cultures. I’m learning more history, such as the refinement of “pi”. Take very good care of yourself; your motivation, mental acuity and overall happiness are directly linked to your health. And, STAY SAFE!!!😊❤ 2.”subsequent(ly)”= “SUB-suh-kwent-(lee)” NOT “SUB- see-kwent-(lee)”.
Thank you for another detailed lesson yes all of these words are frequently used in all the videos and yes these have flaws some are consistent some are occasional but sometimes to keep the sentence going I lose focus on the exact word pronunciation that is because of lack of English speaking in normal daily life its like an alien language for my brain and its still unable to read flawlessly and if I keep focus on a singular word I most of the times lose control and focus on the flow and as a result the sentence is broken seems that I need more practice with these words so that I don't look after them to pronounce correctly, need to programe my brain to pronounce them correctly without getting into hyper focus mode or anxiety to handle them separately. Yes motivation level is up but views are down 😂 planning some new patterns of videos to keep it going with a wider audience. Take care stay healthy and happy my mentor. 😊❤️
Im glad Im not married to you. You would drive me crazy.

I was preparing a summary lesson for 1789-1787, when 1786 popped up, or should I say “upload”. I’m sorry, given the time difference and the rate at which you’ve been working, you’re probably not in the mood for stupid jokes. However, I’ll try to keep things as brief as possible. I need to cover the rhotic “r” once more since your English pronunciation is incorrect for American or British English for several of them. The problem seems to be with words having “or” or “our” in the middle. In the last four videos, 1789-1786, the words are: “sport”, “four”, “portrait(s)”, “supporting” and “world”. You always use the word “reason” in every obituary for the cause of death; the “r” in it is the rhotic “r”. That’s the missing part in the five words I’ve mentioned is the distinct sounding of the “r” in those words. I don’t know if it would help you to listen to brief news broadcasts from the US and the UK to see if you can hear the difference in accents to help you understand and identify your problem. The Brits tend to hold the tongue lower in the mouth when pronouncing the softer “r”, so that the word “cart” sounds more like “caht”. For instance, on an earlier post you probably heard the word “explored” pronounced “explaud” and you pronounced it as “explode”. If Amazon delivers to your country, you might consider ordering a Merriam-Webster Dictionary. They have good phonetic and pronunciation guides in there to supplement what I’m giving you. l have some other words in my notes, but I’m going to save them for later. I think it’s more important to concentrate on what I’ve given you thus far; because the intended meaning can be lost. Please pace yourself carefully. The quality of your work is truly excellent and I want to ENcourage you not DIScourage you. Take very good care of yourself!!!😊❤
Thomas Gage served alongside George Washington (and Daniel Boone) at Braddock's Defeat. His wife, Margaret, was an American and some suspected she told one of the militia leaders of Gage's plan to raid the colonial armories at Lexingto and Concord. Muhlenberg College is named for Henry Muhlenberg.
