Because it wastes a lot of the duration for Sento. Instead you sacrifice a few damage to get an extra mixup.

Maybe to make them more intuitive for the newer players.

Hey, so if you're holding down the Kameo button, you can move Kenshi without moving Sento. So you will be able to perform moves with Kenshi without having Sento performing the move at the same time. If you hold the block button, you will be able to move Sento without moving Kenshi, so allow you to attack from full screen without having Kenshi attack. The way you will combo using both at the same tiy sometimes holding do the Kameo button to make Kenshi attack and during Kenshi's recovery, you can input Sento's actions. Kind of complicated to explain but I hope that helps !

Clearly not the only thing that makes him good. If I'm not wrong, you do not get an armour launcher using Kung Lao kameo though. You'd have to go with something else like Goro

@@kamasireborn yeah goro allows him to combo off of his ex launcher. Without that Lao is C tier at best

In your settings, turn off Negative Edge (I think it's called Negative Edge or Release check, I can't remember). That should help a lot. Negative edge makes it so it prioritizes the last input you did basically. Then when you do 121BF2, do them all fast in one sequence and it should be good.

If you're talking about the first combo, you can see on the left that I am buffering it. I am pressing it a few times before the dash comes out. Hope that helps

@@CELESTE-KNR Honestly, I doubt a fighting game can have inconsistent timings since the attacks always last the same amount of time. It is most likely a practice thing.

Lol, don't do the kick then. Just do the Sento 3. Another way to do it though is to hold 3 while sento is coming out then to let go of 3 then press 4 right after. You will perform Sento3 using negative edge. Maybe it would be easier for you ?

@@kamasireborn maybe but i play the whole roster so until they make it where you can switch your controls before fighting someone like mk11 did that is a terrible idea

@@devildkila No you missinderstood me. Sento's negative edge is not related to the settings. You can't turn it off. So whatever your settings are, negative edge is on with Sento.

If you mean so the divekick whiffs then you continue the combo, yeah it's better since you build meter !

to be fair, Kung seems to be more hand to hand and in your face. i believe that that's why his windows seem so small. many other characters have range and flashy moves. with that being said, to balance him against the smokes and baraka's and scorpions, he should be buffed a bit

@@kamasireborn we're probably just bad at the game lol. But for me, i whiff a lot with Kung. His range feels really short but yeah, we're probably just bad at the game lol. So by window, I just mean how many frames you can work with to still land an attack. After watching this video of yours, I started pacing myself and hopefully I can start getting the timing on point.

@@achiyan Ohh okay I see, the active frames. Yeah you're right they are shorts. And finding opening with Lao is not as easy as some other characters for sure ! But don't forget about throw and F2.

Hey, no he also has spin bit it's an armor move so you barely see it. His other armor is better in most situations but yeah it doesn't launch anymore.

@@kamasireborn wow that’s so lame. Looks like I’m grabbing a new main. The spin is one of his most iconic moves for kombo continuaiton and starters. And they just threw it to the backseat.

@@kamasireborn at least now I can comfortably say without anyone able to give me legitimate claims otherwise- that Mortal Kombat X is the best version of Kung Lao aside from MK9 to me they’re both equal in skill for what “balanced” gameplay could look like. But the more realistic these game creators try to make fighting games look. The less quality the fighting will be. That’s why Anime sticks to their guns and doesn’t try to do live movies like that embarrassment of Dragon Ball Evolution. I think I’m just gonna head off to the Sim Racing side of gaming and leave fighting games behind until we get into some “Ready Player 1” style VR fighting game.

So what you suggested is a 2 bars combo. If you noticed, I showed optimal 1 bars and optimal meterless. At 0:40 I show a different ender to spend an extra bar to do more damage. If you add this ender to my optimal 1 bar you get your combo. (Unless Jump 2 does more damage than Jump 1 then it's my bad but I think they do the same damage) So the combo you just mentionned is 2 of mine together lol.

They have to be low enough. If you do it too early they will falloff

212 does more damage doesn't it ? And even if they are low the combos don't drop so don't worry about then being loww while juggling

@@jessestewart3835 You managed to connect 212 at the end of the combos instead of 121 ? And it does more damage ?

​​@@jessestewart3835Just looked, 212 does 103 damage and 121 does 112 damage. And I don't really know if you'd be able to connect 212. But if it's easier for you, go for it.

@@kamasireborn anytime you have launched, then hit the enemy with standing 4 midair and continued into Back 24. It happens quite a few times but I can come back with a timestamp if needed.

@@TTCello Okay I get it, I thought you meant after doing jump 4. So if you didn't notice, I do a micro dash after B24 and after 4. Maybe that's what you're missing. Otherwise, B24 actually recovers faster than it seems like, so maybe input the dash earlier than you were doing it ? The combos are, in my opinion, not that difficult unless this is your first fighting game. But yeah, try the 2 things, if it still doesn't work, I could maybe help you more !

Regular Lao ? They made it so his spin is more used like an armour than a launching move but Kameo Lao uses spin to combo !

If you play Lao Kameo, you can end your combos with ExBF2 then step back and do low Hat with Kameo. Then when they wakeup you go for F2 so you get a hard to block.

Sub freeze is the way to go into Sento stance. Once you're in it you want to keep the pressure going and mix him

You have to move Sento everytime you can so right after landing your jump 2 and right after F4 before doing Sento3. Look specifically at the movements from Sento. It is a consistent combo though, just need a lot of practice. Took me a while before I was able to get it consistently.
