1st Overall CZ Bren 2 DSS MATCH PCDHFC July 21, 2024
Ran my Bren 2 at a fun 2gun match at PCDHFC. It was pretty fun shooting at slightly longer ranges than usual.
Multigun scoring, so 2 hits anywhere or 1 alpha required per target. Misses are +10s and No shoots are +20. Ate 70seconds of penalties which was pretty rough.
First stage on stage 3 I had no plan, so spent some time searching for the last target (still missed it though lol). Still need to work a bit on my pistol confidence/grip. Noshoot on stage 4 was because I pulled the shot low through the port.
Thanks to everyone at DSS for the super fun match! Check them out because they run lots of tactical style 2gun/3gun matches.

Day of suckage for me. Wasn't confident in my shots at all this day. Didn't feel like a good day at all. Felt like I wasn't aiming well, or shooting well, so I'm going to have to take a hard look at that in practice. It feels like my dryfire isn't translating well to my pistol shooting. 31/92 shooters overall, 10/15 in open. 63.97%. Thanks to everyone at Nanaimo Fish and Game for the great match!

Didn't feel like my shooting rhythm was that fast this time. Also tried for a hipfire shot on stage 9, didn't work, Delta Mike LOL. Need to work on my aiming consistency and shooting at speed while maintaining accuracy. Not really hitting steel poppers very well. I've never had a match where so many charlies were 0.1mm away from the Alpha line. Need to start practicing my offset dot for hard left leans. 1st out of 13 PCC Shooters by 15.52%

Slow start to the match, didn't shoot very well for the first 3 stages, but warmed up halfway through the day. Poor vision and focus on targets. Need to pay attention to reloads with long distances between shooting positions. Moving and shooting with quick splits needs work. Having issues with double stackers and trigger freeze. Fun match in the rain, match title was "Shoulda Worn Sunscreen", and instead we got a rainfall warning on the day of. Lots of tight left leans this match, and I was trying out my newly installed offset optic. Both misses I got in this match were while using it, so go figure. Shooting my pistol for a change. It was a pretty challenging match with lots of partials/NS. Need to work on my grip, trigger press at speed, doubles, target focus on small spot. I was dot focused, so had to occlude my optic, which did help. Gun Setup: GHM9 9 inch barrel Tandemkross 9mm Pro comp Geissele SSP Trigger HB reduced power safety spring Copper Customs 1913 GHM9 stock adapter MPX 1913 Folding Stock Eotech EXPS3-0 (I'd recommend getting a non qd latch version, as qd mounts don't fit well on GHM9) 1st overall. 16 PCC Shooters, total of 118 Shooters.

B&T GHM9-G (Gen 2 Glock Magazine Version). 6.9 inch barrel 9mm long term review. 6000 rounds fired 9:56 for disassembly UPDATE: I have changed to the 9inch/225mm Barrel version. I find that the longer handguard gives me a better grip and is more shootable. Everything else in the video is still accurate though.
Light fitment, any issues? I heard the mod button was a pain to install on these. I have the compact ghm9 and want to add your exact light setup.
Fits fine. Modbutton lite has a little bit of flicker when activated but it is still useable.

Thanks for the video. Did you have to replace any parts due to shooting the 6k+ rounds?
It has been reliable throughout, I haven't needed to change any parts.
@@Psychic_KittenThanks! I was torn between saving some money and getting the fx9 4.6 inch barrel or going with the ghm9. Along with that you can replace the parts on the fx9 for way cheaper. Though it seems the ghm9 would hold up for a long time.
@@SI96k FX9 is good for plinking and fun shooting on the range. If you're entering IPSC or other pcc shooting competitions I'd make sure it is reliable beforehand. I'd personally get an 8+inch barrel, just from handling different barrel lengths, under 8 inches it is hard to get a good grip support side.

Yeah i'm in Leafland. Nice thing about the GHM9 is it works out of the box, which is better than I can say for a lot of the other PCCs available (FX9s are jam machines from what I've seen).
I’m looking to get the GMH9 and compete in IPSC. Should I get the 4.3, 6.9 or 18.7 inch barrel variation?
I'd personally get the 9 inch if possible. If not available, I'd get the 6.9 or 18.7 inch, depending on your preference. The 18.9 inch is a bit unwieldy, but has better recoil control. The 6.9 inch was slightly too short for me to get a proper grip.

Unfortunately I am not in Europe, so I don't know the best source of parts in that area. I bought the B&T Folding charging handle from a distributor in my area. Perhaps you can see if you have any distributors/stores in your area that can order from B&T?
horrible product
The rail is too low, you can't tilt the eotech far enought so it can jump on the rail. No idea how you got it on there without disassembling the quick attach mechanism. I put mine on a low unity riser.
I basically forced it on there. On the bright side, at least it's tight on the rail!

Nice video. I have almost the same setup except I’m running the B&t lower with the geissele SSP flat. Glad to see I’m not the only one who didn’t remove the metal plate on the lower. I modified my trigger the same way. Need to find time to make a video of my set up.
