3 Easy Solutions to Reduce Water Hammer
Now what pex can it be used with pexs A B C
@@arthurmiller8336 our crimp PEX fittings (ASTM f1807) are best used with PEX-B and our cold expansion PEX fittings (ASTM f1960) are a great choice when working with PEX-A and cold expansion tools, however it’s always best to check with your PEX tubing supplier to see which connection types they are approved for.
Your pipe dope is the best, nice job fixing the pitting on copper/brass push connects. the caps are best tool for remodels and emergencies.
yes - music is loud, lets not bash the editor. probably on 3 red bulls just trying to finish the edit for delivery probably did video as a favor for uncles plumbing business.
not a plumber but really like the info in this video
nice video
I believe you put it on backwards. ...
304SS cannot take more than 2ppm of chlorine at ambient temperature and anything above will result in pitting corrosion in the long run. Recommended chlorine levels in drinking water is 2 to 4ppm.

more of a sales promotion, flat reading of a script written by Boshart, more about why to buy Boshart stainless steel, and very little in the way of actual tips for installing a tank tee, other than don't overtighten.
Sold.
I appreciate your posts on the Boshart website. There wasn't a place to comment there. In particular I read the "What to do if the Water Flow Stops Before the Pump Starts". It was very well written and all jibed with my understanding. I've found that surprisingly rare and felt compelled to comment. Thanks.
I must ask....does Boshart hate receivers? I receive Boshart materials at my job, and it's one of the few I absolutely hate doing. I'll have a full box and there will be one or 2 more of that item in a mixed box. Several items are always like this and you can imagine it takes a while to process a pallet of Boshart supplies. Is it that hard of an idea to just have full counts in master cases instead of items broke up through the whole pallet?
How's about including a weblink (clickable) in your video discription.
In 15 years they will rust and fail. No thanks.
Missed opportunity to name the fittings *'shart-bite*
I appreciate my 2:30am algo recommendations.
"Oh some cool revolutionary product this sounds cool!" Nawh its all junk.
Here's pompe mdg and I think it's time to push some fittings 😂 love the New line up
Hands down best video to date! Thanks for the information and the many laughs!
Great video! Stiffener part made me lol
Not an engineer but if used with water pressure (say 50-60 psi) I'm sure no benifit would or could be measurable. For a drain, yes.
Less effort equals longer life and stainless is stronger and doesn’t corrode like copper. Makes perfect sense to me
And I need this kind of strength in a pex fitting because….?
Good info but annoying music
This was great. Thank you.
Very nice video showing a high quality company in action! Congratulations!
Good job. Seems like the increase in cost of the fittings would be better served increasing pipe diameter if flow is vital.
agreed, what applications where flow is so critical is this warranted? and if it is, they probably arent using these compression style fittings. anyway wasnt the benefit of pex its ability to bend in the first place?
20 inch cartridge if the blue housing measures 20 inches?
Isn't the curvature.of this SS fitting better for flow than the other teo? Can't use this for A. I never was a fan of brass for lighting, locks, etc. Cheapo. Always corrodes. Yeah, such brass plumbing fittings are better quality than such '70s examples of other usages.. Still, f brass. Why not bronze? Probably chemicals. He he. SS likely holds up better. Stronger against freezing. Better quality. Probably purchase. Isn't long term commercial copper leaching bad for bods?
Good example
All talk and no visuals.
Also have the option to run 3/4" PEX B and use thick push-fit brass aka shark bite fittings where flow is a concern then switch over to plastic, or stainless. Don't forget that copper pipe & Pro Press viega fittings seems to be growing - though I would say plastic in new construction is dominant.
Thank You dear:)
Video is probably good but the drone sound is overpowering the narration and makes it very difficult to listen to. I know others have complained. Maybe remove the drone sound or redo the narration without the sound. It's unfortunate because this is good information, but I'll have to go elsewhere to get it.
The music is so horrible and over powering, it makes this video unwatchable. What idiot thought that was a good idea. Did anyone at Boshart even listen to this video before posting it? Just the base alone in the almost music is enough to induce a seizure.
Don't need the music 😭
Is there a sacrificial brass swap-out part, like on a water heater?
Fittings for 3/4” pipe are about 1/2” internal diameter
Basically, to my knowledge, with PEX B you need to go up on size for equal flow but that shifts the cost balance because 3/4 fittings are more expensive although with more competition from PEX A and other push fit systems like viega pro press prices keep falling. But for 3/4 you need to step up to 1" and that gets expensive. Main lines 1" - then drop down to 1/2" for short branches since flow should be good enough.
Another benefit of a spin down is filtering out courser sediment before it plugs the injectors in your water softener (since your finer filtration systems are always after your water softener).
I should have use stainless ones, used brass instead. Will definitely get stainless next time.
Had brass fitting snap in half leaving my water softener. Looked like a chemical reaction making it brittle. It was less than 5 years old. Didn’t know they had stainless and will be locking into changing to it in the future.
Don't forget you can always solder just the part that experiences corrosion.
Did not make it clear .. stainless steel tee with brass additions... nipple, etc... Sad to say but a lot of home depot, manards, fleet farm do not have a big selection... and other mail want one to buy whole setup at high price!!!
I am about to do a total refit from PVC pipe to Pex. But I am going with Pex A expansion type pipe. With not being able to find stainless steel Type A expansion type pex fittings. I am going to have to go with Brass or Plastic.
What do you recommend to prevent stainless on stainless galling? Thanks.
What is the cost factor
But I "thought" SharkBite was the best LOL LOL LOL. Joking of course. I wouldn't use SharkBite's if they were free. Rubber O-rings and chlorinated city water DON"T MIX people. It's not if they will fail but when.
Not sure of a well driller that likes them? Am i wrong? My driller hates them?
Different strokes for different folks! In our opinion, it's an easy (and relatively inexpensive) safety to protect your pump. Correct that not all well drillers use them, but we've carried this product for a long time and have a history of customers that love them.
Thanks for the feed back Boshart!@@BoshartIndustries
Almost liked all shorts ❤
Good 😂
Whats the benefit here ?
Corrosion, strength, better flow
Music is annoying and unnecessary. Hard to hear what you’re saying.
