Stupendo, grazie!
Fantastico!
Thanks Mary Kay. Great tips.
If you’d like ti know how this light effect should be done, go to #KatarzynaKmiecik. Katarzyna is a phenomenal Polish watercolour artist. She also teaches 👍
You are a wonderful teacher. Thanks for making this video. 🙂
You have a beautiful start on your painting. Thank you for the kind words.
The colours are wonderful!
Thank you. Were you able to hear what the pigments are?
Using a sponge to apply the drawing gum is such a smart idea! Is it difficult to clean the sponge afterwards?
The trick to cleaning the sponge is to put dilute shampoo into the sponge before dipping it in the drawing gum. After using your sponge, it should rinse out clean. (In this video, my shampoo wasn’t diluted, and I got too much shampoo in the sponge😮)
thank you for sharing MaryKay, it's beautiful. I'm going to try this!
Send me a photo of it when you’re done.
I want to share the pigments I use to make orange. I use PY 97 for yellow (Daniel Smith Hansa Yellow Medium or American Journey Bumblebee Yellow) and PV 19 for permanent rose (Winsor & Newton Permanent Rose or any quality brand). In my opinion, these two pigments make the most beautiful orange.
Thank you sooo much Mary Kay.
You’re welcome! Did you paint it?
Yes! It still needs some work. @@marykay1946

I love where I live in Half Moon Bay, California
We don't care
Oh, wow! I really like it 😍
I love your work. I also follow Javid Tabatabaei. You both know and paint beautiful trees.
Hi Mary Kay, I really love this video and the vibrant beauty of the finished painting. Can you tell me what kind of watercolor paper this is? I'm thinking it must be Arches cold press? ...or maybe rough?
Yes, the paper is an eighth sheet (7.5 x 11") of 140 # cold press Arches paper. It was a piece of "older" Arches before Canson changed the tooth of the paper.
Thank you for the kind words. How did you find this video?
@@marykay1946 I was on a mission to paint nasturtiums for a friend and was looking for color combinations that worked. I put in #watercolornasturtiums and loved your video!
What paint do you use?
Hi, Debbie. I use Daniel Smith Hansa Yellow Medium or American Journey Bumblebee Yellow. (They both have the same pigment.) Winsor and Newton Antwerp Blue, Permanent Rose, Burnt Sienna, and French Ultramarine Blue. To get the dark green, I mix Burnt sienna and Antwerp blue, but the burnt sienna has to be Winsor Newton
Really beautiful. One of my favorite trees. Mine didn’t bloom a lot this year compared to previous years.
Thank you. I didn't know you had a dogwood tree.
