Are you infertile on this diet? Is that a good thing? Why you are emaciated?
Veganism doesn't cause infertility, and I'm very healthy, thanks for your concern :)

Do you find it difficult going from a mostly whole food plant based way of eating to just vegan? I really want to study abroad but I don’t like the idea of having no control over my food :/
I'm just seeing this, sorry about that! But I felt the same way and had similar worries. If you let your host school and your host family know ahead of time how you prefer to eat, hopefully they can set you up with a family that can accommodate. My host mom was awesome and we ate pretty healthy so I still felt really good physically, and although I wasn't eating as many greens as I did at home for example, I was just fine. The whole experience was a good chance for me to practice letting go of control and just going with the flow. I understand not wanting to eat food that doesn't make you feel your best, but keep in mind it's such a short period of time. If you're concerned about nutrients, just make sure you supplement the common vitamins people are deficient in (I love the Ritual women's vitamin, it covers all the bases). Also, Only 2 of my meals were with my family so I still got to choose a lot of what I ate. If you feel like you need to be in control of food, then losing that control might be really healthy for you mentally -- speaking from personal experience. <3 feel free to message me if you want to talk more, my instagram's angcatalano

San Jose was my least favorite part honestly, but there are some cool areas in the city downtown! But if you're coming to Costa Rica for the nature/beauty, you'd definitely enjoy the rest of the country more :)
