Diving Area 51 | Jupiter, FL

Area 51 reef is named for its mystery. Large schools of Atlantic spadefish frequent Area 51 as do small groups of six or seven large barracuda, cruising against the current together. Bar jacks, Amberjacks, and often schools of Horse-eye jacks are encountered here hunting for their next meal. Never knowing what Mother Nature has in store for us on this dive makes Area 51 always a mystery adventure.

Located off the coast of Pompano Beach, Florida, Captain Dan has one of the longest and most intriguing histories of all the Florida East Coast wrecks. In February of that year, the ship was renamed Captain Dan a...

Amazing!!!
Gold Coast dive is the only company website people go to ss copenhagen without a boat?
Paul you do a really nice video! How come none last couple years?
Hi @391wombat, we hope to post videos again within the next 2 weeks. I'm sorry for the delay. Everyone's work schedules were hectic when the world started returning from COVID. However, we are getting back to sharing great diving sites to explore. I appreciate the support and feedback. Stay tuned.
About how far off shore are the jacks? My husband and I went out this morning and couldn't find them.
The location of the jacks is tricky. They’re on an angle, but about 200 yards off the shore. You may needed to go a little further. Be safe out there.
Looking to do this soon. An dive shops that do shark dives that you recommend?
Hi @carriek9985, The dive shop we use is Salty Divers in Jupiter, FL. They're a great charter to dive with. I found them to be very safety-focused. Their number is 561-247-1119. Take care and safe diving.
Max depth only 22 ft on that bad boy!!!??
The max depth of the dive site is 18ft-24ft at the beginning of the brick road. The brick road follows a pipeline that can reach depths of 130ft plus further out. Not sure, but if you were also asking max depth of mini scooter/DVP, it’s 120ft. Thanks for watching our video.
@@DiveSquadusa wow! Nice easy depth. I have heard of yellow brick. Great video and how to find. My son and I will be using your vid to find it here soon. Thanks!
@@theusachad75 You and your son will love it. Thanks for the positive feedback on the video. Much appreciated. Have a great time, and if you have any other questions, let me know. Cheers
On my bucket list but I must admit, I'd probably be nervous at first.
It's a definite must for a bucket list. It's not bad at all. The charter team does a great job explaining the details and safety of the dive. Appreciate the comments. Be safe!
by any chance are these the restrooms you guys are talking about? maps.app.goo.gl/vn8Ax8dzcE78TJHV6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy
Has anyone seen the small Yellow Stingray passing under the Eagle Ray? ❤
Great eye with catching that.
South pacific coral
Nice video, what dive charter did you use, was it SFDHQ? I use American Dream in Fort Lauderdale
Glad you enjoyed the video, appreciate the positive feedback. That dive was with SFDHQ. We also dive with American Dream but they don't charter that far north. Happy diving, be safe out there.
Awesome.
Thank you! Cheers!
When I get to South Florida that one needs to be on my list of to do dives. Thanks for sharing and giving the info on the wreck. I try to explain dive sites on my videos so others can have a knowledge of it. Awesome video.
@freedomwander91, I appreciate the positive feedback. I highly recommend checking out the wreck. It’s an amazing experience. Be safe out there.

I hope to get to dive there soon. I had to cancel the one time I tried due to weather.
It's an amazing site to dive. Hopefully the weather conditions will be better next time.
I like "The Cave" hunting dives. Loing history out there.
Awesome!
Thanks! I have to make my way back AZ again. 👍🏾
@@DiveSquadusa yes sir you do! Come out and dive with us again!

Visibility looks pretty good! :-)
Great video. Thanks for posting it.
Appreciate the positive feedback. Thank you for watching.
Do you need a dive flag here if you are just snorkeling or free diving?
Hi Lizzy, A dive flag is needed for scuba diving but not snorkeling. If you're snorkeling at the surface and dive down for a little it's probably not a problem, but if you plan on spending a significant amount of time free diving I would recommend a dive flag.
@@DiveSquadusa oh okay thank you so much! I love your video! I am flying to Florida in July and I’m def going to try and snorkel here!
Thank you, appreciate the feedback. When visiting BHB, make sure to do it during high tide. The visibility and current is at its best. If you have any questions or need more info, please let us know. You're going to have an amazing time at BHB.
@@DiveSquadusa omg thank you, great to know! We will def be going at high tide then! Aw thank you so much! 😄

This reminds me of the Okinawa up in Pompano. Nice rec dive
Thanks @Mike, I agree.. it's very similar to the Okinawa. However, the Okinawa is a little larger with more layers. This was still a great wreck to explore. Thank you for watching, appreciate the support.

@@DiveSquadusa Will do.. I'm a tech diver so I did the Miller Light and the Hydro Atlantic last time too so always looking for new wrecks to explore
Nice channel 👌🏼
Hi Nestor, Thank you for checking out the channel. Appreciate the feedback and support. 👍🏾
Good video. I enjoyed seeing the parrotfish in their pajamas. I assume you shined your light directly on these animals because your intent was to film them, and I hope you don't do that regularly when you dive at night.
Hi Maria, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The light was used for filming purposes only. Appreciate the feedback. Thank you
Amazing footage man. Great diving.
@Matchagreen, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Diving the red sea was an amazing experience. Appreciate the support! Thank you
@@DiveSquadusa you’re welcome. I have a reel from my channel also in the Red Sea at the same sites.
That's great, we'll check out your video.
Do you have to have a permit to dive there at night or can you just show up and dive
Hi Chris, thanks for tuning in. Great question! No, you do not need a permit. You just want to make sure you plan the night dive between an hour before and after high tide.
@@DiveSquadusa thank you very much for answering back I love your videos can’t wait to try and dive it
@@chrisstinson5658 keep us posted and let us know how you enjoyed the night dive. Have great a great time!🤙🏾
Chris , yes you need a permit for night dives but they are free at Force E or Pura Vida dive shops which are very close. The shop gets the permit and then they give you a piece of paper to put on your dash.
Added to my bucket list. What is the music? Great video thanks! New subscriber here
Hi Mike, we're glad you enjoyed the video. We appreciate the positive feedback. Thanks for subscribing. The Okinawa is definitely a dive site you'd enjoy. I highly recommend it! The music is called "Standing Up" by Borrtex Safe Diving out there!
You never know what you will see at The Blue Heron Bridge! 🤩 It’s literally a real life aquarium!
Agree with you 100%!! It's an amazing experience every time.
Thats was a spotted eagle ray, not a manta
You're 100% correct, it was a spotted eagle ray. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching.
where is the entrance to the beach?
Hi Xu LI, there's only one entry into the large parking lot to the beach across from the boat marina. (Jungle Cruise Docks) Start your approach from the beach to the shore from the rest rooms. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing! What a great video!
