1º Jogo da Malzbier de General Câmara-RS
O Jogo da Malzbier foi idealizado pelas esposas, noivas e namoradas que cansadas de verem seus companheiros beberem e jogarem o famoso Jogo do Chopp na cidade de General Câmara-RS, decidiram viabilizar seu próprio evento esportivo, recheado de muita bebida, é claro. A Malzbier foi a bebida escolhida por elas, que unidas ao belo futebol, propiciaram jogadas espetaculares para o público (muitas delas já ocasionadas pela bebida), causando boas gargalhadas e divertimento à todos, principalmente à ala masculina. A proposta foi de que o jogo entre as mulheres se realizasse como preliminar do Jogo do Chopp, que há quase 3 décadas é realizado todo dia 31 de dezembro. A cada gol marcado por ambas ...

Anualmente no Estádio Argemino Dorneles em General Câmara-RS, acontece sempre no dia 31 de dezembro de cada ano um jogo de Futebol com um ou mais barris de Chopp no meio do campo. A cada gol marcado por ambas as equipes, a comemoração é a reunião dos jogadores no centro do gramado para um ou outro (ou vários) goles de chopp. Este jogo foi idealizado pelo Wilmo Alves (Batata) e o Leandro Quintia...

pequena amostra do que foi o som ambiente no programa Radar(TVE) do dia 18/07/2006 com a banda Telhado Morto. Ao vivo pode ter parecido bagunçado, mas no estúdio estava melhor equalizado.

Choke was/is way too good and cool for convention... completely without the pretention of the other crappy tech bands, full of their own power... totally rules.

Lotion hands down was their best album!!! I'm particularly fond of Forward too. Way more technical back then. I remember the night I felt it was all over is when I was late night flipping through the channels on my TV and heard an oh so familiar voice... It was this song and it was on MTV. I am one of the few Americans that have seen Choke live many many times, and I still listen to them religiously!!!!
glad to hear they rubbed off on some americans! they are back playing shows so hopefully some new music may come of it!

needless to say, will be one the best punk albums, ever.
Such a shame these guys stopped recording. I really enjoyed their last tour with The Reason and Ghosts of a modern man in Chicoutimi a long while ago. Favorite punk rock band, lots of memories pop up when i go through their stuff another time.
