We, Alex & Lucie, are a "young" couple living in Switzerland. A while ago, we discovered that we want to be more into life and not just living. Our two dogs Rey & Mila show us every time how to life in the moment and acutally enjoying life right now, not worrying about the future and not complaining about the past. So we decided first to do something for our health and became vegan, trying our best to go whole food plant based as much as we can. For our health, for the sake of the animals and for the planet. After that we got rid of a lot of stuff we don't need anymore, or even didn't need in the past. The other passion we have is travelling. Not just travelling from town to town, even though we love roadtrips as well, but we love to go offroad with our Jeeps. So the next step is Overlanding. We will show you what we do, and how we do it. Stay tuned!

Cooold! Even North Africa is too far north; it's cold at night in the winter. In Europe in winter, only the Canary Islands up to 200 meters above sea level or Reunion, Martinique or Guadalupe are the only possible places in ,, Europe, where it is warm in winter for van camping.

Did you have to do anything to slide it into the channels ? I’m trying to do a piece on mine it’s a little different but similar I just can’t figure out how to slide it in and out
As far as I remember there was no special way to do it. It is a little tricky sometimes. Best is to slide in both sides at the same time.

Hallo Helge und Heike. WIr haben die Befestigungselemente die beim Alucap dabei sind angepasst. Wir haben auch das Alucap auf drei querstreben montiert. Gerne sind wir euch behilflich. Great video! How easy is it to put the soft top down with this? Can you use it in the sunrider position?
If you remove the crossbars, the softtop is fully functional including the sunrider. 👍
Does the box fit in the jeep? I'm picking my rack up from the supplier and am wondering if it will fit in the jeep.

Thanks for the video! Been trying to find a rack that fits over my soft top. I am just worried about a whistling sound when I drive do you experience this?
It depends. If you install the rack like it´s supposed to be, than the noise is bearable. Due to some legal standards, we had to modify the leg on the A-pillar (moved it closer to the A-pillar). In the configuration the noise increased. We could reduce it a little with an additional wind deflector.

Thanks. We used the Accuride drawer slides 3832. I would use one with lock-in and lock-out.

@@veganoverlander , Thanks, looked very nice. Any recommendations for trails, is there a site showing trails or do you just have to do a map study? Planning a trip to Italy as soon as the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Also planning a trip to northern France/Normandy, I think you have explored this area as well. Nice webpage you have wit a lot of good and informative articles, especially for me also traveling with a dog.
@@magnus2528 Most of the times we explore on the go. But we also use WikiLoc (Iphone App) or GAIA GPS or the books from www.mdmot.com/ You'll find there books from every location. They aren't expensive and really value infos in them. In Normandy be careful with boondocking, there are a lot of police controls.
